Classification4.1 Two general types of lightweight aggregate are coveredby this specification as follows:4.1.1 Group IAggregates prepared by expanding productssuch as perlite
11、 or vermiculite.NOTE 1These aggregates generally produce concrete having a densityfrom 15 to 50 lb/ft3(240 to 800 kg/m3), the thermal conductivity of whichmay be expected to range from 0.45 to 1.50 Btuin/hft2F (0.065 to 0.22W/mK).4.1.2 Group IIAggregates prepared by expanding, calcining, or sintering
12、 products such as blast-furnace slag, clay, diatomite, fly ash, shale, or slate; and aggregates prepared byprocessing natural materials, such as pumice, scoria, or tuff.NOTE 2These aggregates generally produce concrete having a densityfrom 45 to 90 lb/ft3(720 to 1440 kg/m3), the thermal conductivity
13、ofwhich may be expected to range from 1.05 to 3.00 BTUin/hft2 F (0.15to 0.43 W/mK).1This specification is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee C09 onConcrete and Concrete Aggregatesand is the direct responsibility of SubcommitteeC09.21 on Lightweight Aggregates and Concrete.Current edition appro
