(See 1-1-4/3.3 of the ABS Rules for Conditions of Classification (Part 1).) SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION (Add
3、 new Subsection 1/5, as follows.) 5 Waiver of Full Scale Tests for Sister Vessels (15 February 2017) For vessels seeking MAN notation, full scale maneuvering tests required for the notation may be waived for sister vessels in the same series. For this the vessel for which tests were carried out and
4、sister vessels should have identical: Hull form Design draft and speed Steering/propulsion systems (rudder, propeller, steering gear) Main engine (make, model, power output) Energy saving devices and other appendages that may influence the inflow to propeller and rudder, if applied Tests may be waiv
5、ed for sister vessels under the conditions given above and if the attained overall rating for the tested vessel is 3.0 or higher. However, an initial turning test is required even for the sister vessel seeking MAN or MAN-A notation.
