3、ONDITIONS OF CLASSIFICATION (SUPPLEMENT TO THE ABS RULES FOR CONDITIONS OF CLASSIFICATION) CHAPTER 1 SCOPE AND CONDITIONS OF CLASSIFICATION SECTION 2 CLASSIFICATION SYMBOLS AND NOTATIONS (Add new Subparagraph 1-1-2/31, as follows:) 31 All Vessel Types Equipment Symbol (1 September 2017) The symbol p
4、laced after the symbols of classification, thus: A1 , will signify that the equipment of anchors and chain cables of the vessel is in compliance with the requirements of the Rules or with requirements corresponding to the service limitation noted in the vessels classification, which have been specia
5、lly approved for the particular service. Guides and subsequent changes to Guides are to become effective on the date specified by ABS. For Offshore Support Vessels, which have not been built under ABS survey, the optional equipment notation -(R) may be assigned to the vessels equipment, provided the
6、 existing anchors, chains and anchor windlass are confirmed certified by another recognized Classification Society. The available manufacturers and classification test certificates and plans associated with the anchors, chains and windlass, as applicable, are to be submitted to ABS for reference and verification of the Equipment Numeral.
