This standard defines the method of indicating on drawings, with the exception of e
8、ngine drawings, the instructions for the marking of parts and assemblies for aerospace applications. 2 Purpose of marking The marking shall allow the identification and traceability of parts and assemblies. 3 Indications on drawings 3.1 General Drawings shall indicate the location and composition of
9、 the marking and the marking process les) . 3.2 Marking symbol The marklng symbol shall be a circle devided into 4 quadrants as shown in figure 1, containing the code(s) of the selected process(es) (see subclause 3.5). . This symbol is connected to the location of the marking by a line ending in an
10、arrow or a dot (see subclause 3.3.2), The size of the symbol shall be compatible with micro-filming requirements as well as those of computer aided design. . 3.3 Location of marking 3.3.1 Choice of location The location shall be chosen such that the marking : - does not impair the manufacturing tder
11、ances or the required surface conditions, - does not jeopardize strength, - remains visible after installation, if possible. 14、arking process (es) (see subclause 3.5) shall be combined wi.th reference to this standard (see clause 4). 3.4 Composition of the marking The marktng mav include any of the elements listed in table I. The choice of elements shall be the responsibilfty of the design office but in accordance with the
15、specific project rules. 19、 processes are set out in table 1. The choice chal!_ be the responsibility of the Design Office but in accordance with the specific project rules. Requirements are indicated on the drawings as follows : 3.5.1 Only one process is permissibi.e The code corresponding to the chosen process (see figure 6
20、) shall be written in the lower quadrant of the symbol.
