14、ure 3.1 Seamless tube for pressure system Unless otherwise specified by the material standard or order, the method of production shall be at the option of the manufacturer. Heat treatment shall be carried out under vacuum or protective atmosphere. Subsequent to a final reduction of the tube and prio
15、r to chemical milling, external surfaces may be conditioned by belt polishing with a grit of 38 pm, or finer. Internal surfaces may be conditioned by grit blasting with a grit not larger than 150 pm. After final reduction and conditioning, tubes shall be chemically milled to remove a minimum depth o
16、f 50 pm from the external surface and a minimum depth of 25 pm from the internal surface. After final heat treatment, rotary straightening of the tubes is not allowed. Stretch straightening up to a maximum of 2 % and light hand straightening is permissible. Straightening and stress relieving shall n
17、ot cause any defects prejudicial to the intended use. 3.2 Tube for purposes other than pressure system For seamless and welded tubes for purposes other than pressure system all requirements shall be defined on the order . 4 Inspection and testing 4.1 Non-destructive tests 4.1 . 1 Dimensions shall co
18、nform to the requirements of the order. Dimensions and tolerances Tolerances shall conform to the relevant dimensional standard stated by the material standard or order. Except for the measurements of wall thickness and diameters of tubes under pressure, the method and frequency adopted by the manuf
19、acturer shall be sufficient to enable him to certify compliance with the requirements. The wall thickness and outer diameter of each tube for pressure purposes shall be continuously determined and recorded over the entire length by either an ultrasonic method of measurement or an alternative method
20、agreed between manufacturer and purchaser. For all methods of measurement an agreed resolution shall be established. The internal diameter of these tubes shall be calculated from the measurements made. 4.1.2 Visual examination Tube shall be examined for internal and external surface defects by visua
21、l examination. Assessment of the surface quality shall be carried out by comparison with visual samples agreed between manufacturer and purchaser. Each tube shall be examined. Where necessary, boroscope examination shall be used to investigate suspected bore defects. The internal surface quality sha
22、ll also be assessed by examining longitudinally cut samples from the flattening and bending test (see 4.2.3 and 4.2.4). 24、ic surface films such as lubricants; - discolouration and scale arising from heat treatment; - cracks, seams, excessive score marks, laps, laminations, scratch, etc.; - pits, exceeding a maximum depth as indicated in table 1. 25、sing, are not permitted. 4.1.3 Surface roughness When required by the material standard, surface roughness measurements shall be carried out. Tests shall be performed at the following frequency : - external surface : - internal surface : one tube per batch; two samples from the flattening test and /
26、 or bending test. The results shall meet the requirements of the material standard. 4.1.4 Ultrasonic inspection Inspection shall be carried out in accordance with EN 371 8. Each tube shall be 100 % tested. The results shall meet the requirements of the material standard. 4.1.5 Leak test 4.1.5.1 Inte
27、grity test Testing shall be carried out in accordance with EN 2002-1 7. Test shall be made at a frequency of one tube with a minimum length of 300 mm per batch. 29、required by the material standard or order. Testing shall be carried out in accordance with IS0 6772. Six tube samples from one batch for each size shall be tested. Tube shall show no leaks. 4.1.6 Eddy current testing When required by the material standard, eddy current testing shall be carried out
30、in accordance with EN 2002-20. Each product shall be 100 % tested. The results shall meet the requirements of the material standard. 4.2 Mechanical tests When required by the material standard or order, mechanical testing shall be carried out in accordance with 4.2.1 to 4.2.5. The results shall meet
31、 the requirements of the material standard or order. 4.2.1 Tensile tests Testing at ambient temperature shall be carried out in accordance with EN 2002-1. Tests on tubes for pressure purposes shall be carried out on the full tube cross-section. The overall length of the tube samples shall be at leas
32、t 300 mm. Tests shall be performed at a frequency of two samples per batch. 4.2.2 Hydraulic distension tests Testing shall be carried out in accordance with EN 2002-1 8. Tests shall be performed at a frequency of one tube per batch. If the sample tube fails to comply with the requirements, samples f
33、rom 25% of the tubes in the batch shall be tested. All additional test samples shall meet the requirements. 4.2.3 Flattening tests Testing shall be carried out in accordance with EN 2002-10. Tests shall be performed at a frequency of one end of two tubes per batch. Subsequent to the examination of t
34、he external surfaces, the samples shall be cut longitudinally and the internal surfaces examined. When checked at three to five times magnification, the internal and external surfaces shall reveal neither cracks nor fractures nor any evidence of open tool chafing or grinding marks. Discontinuous sur
35、face ruptures shall be regarded as cracks if their total length exceeds 80 % of the deformed length. The longitudinally cut samples shall also be used for visual examination (see 4.1.2). Tube fillers may only
37、be used with the agreement of the user. Test shall be performed at a frequency of two samples per batch. Tubes shall show neither cracks nor fractures. Folds or surface marks shall not exceed 1 % of the external diameter in depth. Other surface defects shall not exceed 5 % of nominal wall thickness
38、in depth. The ovality shall not exceed 3 % of the nominal outer diameter Subsequent to the examination the samples shall be cut longitudinally for visual inspection. 4.2.5 Drift tests Testing shall be carried out in accordance with EN 2002-9. Unless otherwise specified, the included drift angle shal
39、l be 74 f 1 O. The tube samples shall be expanded to by least 20 % of the original external diameter. Tests shall be performed at a frequency of one end of two tubes per batch. The expanded portion of the tube shall be free from cracks or non-uniform deformation. 4.3 Metallographic examination 4.3.1
40、 Microstructure When required by the material standard or order, samples from tubes shall be etched and examined in accordance with EN 31 14-1. The structure shall be examined over the full cross section of the tube on a longitudinal and a transverse microspecimen with at least 1 O0 times magnificat
41、ion. Tests shall be performed at a frequency of one sample per batch. The microstructure shall meet the requirements of the material standard or order. 4.3.2 Grain size When required by the material standard or order, testing shall be carried out in accordance with EN 2002-8. Grain size shall be det
42、ermined on microspecimens taken in the transverse and longitudinal directions. If necessary due to excessive grain elongation caused by cold working, the longitudinal test sample may be completely recrystallized by heat treatment. Temperature and holding time shall be stated in the testing report. T

Tests shall be performed at a
45、frequency of one sample per batch. The samples shall be free from brittle, oxygen rich diffusion zones. 5 Mar king All products shall carry the following identification marking - material standard number; - delivery condition code; - batch number; - manufacturers name and, where appropriate, identit
46、y of the plant; - dimensions; - inspectors stamp (on a securely attached durable label). Tubes with an outside diameter 2 6 mm shall be continuously marked along the length of the product. All indications shall be repeated at maximum intervals of 0,5 m. Tubes with an outside diameter c 6 mm diameter
47、 shall be bundled and identified with a securely attached durable label bearing the identification marking.
