SCOPE: container capability. This trailer shall have side transfer capability, a fully rotatable deck
2、, four-wheel coordinated steering, and a capacity of 3500 pounds. This Commercial Item Description (CID) describes a commercial LD-3 container trailer having single 2 SALENT CHARACERISTICS: Failure of the trailer to meet the following salient characterisiics will require rejection of the offer. 21 T
3、he trailer shall be free from faulty construction or any defect which affeas appearance, serviceability, or durability. Ai components and accessories shall be represented in the manufacturers sale data as standard or optionai. The trailer shall be representative of the quality and workmanship found
4、in trailers offered for new commercial sale. 2.2 The following is the purchaser provided data: 22.1 The deck shaii handle one fully loaded LD-3 cargo container (gross weight 3500 pounds). 22.2 The deck sha be of the side loading type, accepting containers hrn either side, with sufficient width to ac

7、of 2.5 inches and a minimum capacity of 400 pounds. 2.2.7 The distance between the centerlines of the rollers shall be 10 inches maximum. 2.2.8 The lateral roiier spacing shail be 20 inches maximum to accommodate the wakway between the rollers. 2.2.9 The deck shall be manuaUy rotatable 360 degrees.
8、Deck rotation stops shall be provided every 180 degrees to facilitate correct positioning for loading/offloading from either side. 2.2.10 The running gear shall be completely within the confines of the trailer frame. AU steering linkages, brake system components, or other mechanisms located beneath
9、the trailer, shall be protected from damage, The running gear shall be capable of 15 mph operation when part of a trailer aain or when towedsingly. 22.1 1 The steering shall be of the four-wheel-coordinated type, using the towbar to control the direction of wheel turn. 2.2.12 The towbar shall be of
10、sufficient length to prevent the corners of each trailer in a trailer train from contacting during the minimum tuming radius. The towbar shall be fitted with a MS51336 lunette eye or similar lunette which is compatible with an MS5 1335 pintie hook. 2.2.13 The Wer shall have a towbar-actuated parking
11、 brakes on two front wheeis. The parking brakes shaii be of the internai expanding type drum brakes. 2.2.14 The Wer sha be equipped with wheels and tires which meet ail Tire and Rim Association or European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization requirements for this application. The trailer shaU be equ
12、ipped with pneumatic, tubeless tires mounted on demountable rims. 2.215 A MS5 1335 pintie hook or similar pintie hook &ali be mounted on the rear of the trailer in order to connect the towbar of the foliowing trailer when operating in a train. 2.2.16 The trailer shall be painted Forest Green, Color
13、Number 24052 of FED-STD-595 or the contractors closest commercia equivalent. The paint shaii be a polyurethane paint. The trailer furnished must be the latest model as of the date of award (with minor modifications, as that tem is dened in DOD Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Supplement 252.21 1
19、-7022, para K-85 of the Solicitation) of an estabished product previously produced and sold in substantial quantities (exceeding the criteria at FAR 15.804-3 (0 (2) (ii) (A) for at least two years immediately preceding the issuance date of the solicitation.
