SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This commercial item description (CID) describes a Fuel
2、Spray Pattern Test Set which hereafter will be referred to as the test set. The test set is capable of measuring the spray pattern angle and check for external leakage of a fuel atomizer assembly applicable to the A/M32A gas turbine engines. This CID describes the minimum provisions for ISO 9001 cer
3、tified manufacturers that meet or exceed these requirements. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 General. The equipment shall be capable of operation within the accuracies, limits, and specifications herein. Equipment covered by this CID shall be commercially available equipment and may be modified to th
4、e extent necessary to meet the following description. 2.2 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this CID and the references cited herein (except for associated detail specifications, specification sheets or MS standards) the text of this CID shall take precedence. 5、ng in this CID, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 2.3 Physical characteristics. 7、al Characteristics. Test set shall operate at power requirements of 220 VAC; 60 cycles per second. 2.5 Fluid pressure gauges. The fluid pressure gauges shall have an accuracy of +/- .25% with a range of 0 to 400 psig. The gauges shall also be no less than four and a half (4 ) inches to no more than
8、six (6) inches in diameter. 2.6 Test Fluid Requirements. The test set shall be in accordance with the MIL-PRF-7024 test fluid specification with approximately eight (8) to ten (10) gallons. MIL-PRF-7024 test fluid shall be used in lieu of JP-8 during testing. 2.7 Safety. The test set shall be classi
9、fied for use in hazardous work areas. 2.8 Marking. Test sets supplied to this CID shall be affixed with the manufacturers standard commercial part number. 2.9 Illumination. A lighting fixture, which is switched on either with a separate switch or with the supply pump, shall have enough illumination
10、inside of the spray chamber to aide in the observation of the spray quality while not shining directly into the operators eyes. 2.10 Semi-circular protractor. A protractor, to indicate the angle of the spray pattern, shall be fixed inside the spray chamber. Increments shall not be less than one (1)
11、degree and not more than five (5) degrees. 2.11 Calibration. The test set shall have a calibration interval of at least 180 days. 2.11.1 Calibration procedure. The test set shall provide for readily accessible calibration adjustments and maintenance adjustments. The manufacturer shall provide a cali
12、bration procedure so that minor repairs and calibration can be performed at the field level. 2.12 Manuals. Each test set shall be delivered with each unit, which is to include operators maintenance, basic operation instructions, and calibration procedures that have been approved by WR-ALC. The manuf
13、acturer shall also provide a list of all available options, as well as ordering information. 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible provide
14、d that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulati

PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 4.1 Product conformance. The test set provided shall meet the salient charact
16、eristics of this CID, conform to the manufacturers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Packaging. The pres
17、ervation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 6. At the time of this CID preparation and coordination, the manufacturer listed was known to have commercial products that would meet the requirements of this CID.
