4、reparation of the Sample Basic W eight Checklists andLoading Data aircraft manuals. These manuals consist of T O 1X - XXXX - 5 - 1, Sample Basic W eightChecklists (Chart A) and T O 1X - XXXX - 5 - 2, Loading Data (Chart E) as approved for use in T O 1 - 1B - 40and development under provisions of SA

5、WE - RP7. In addition to “paper“ delivery , this specification providesfor electronic delivery of data through the use of the Document T ype Definitions (DTD) contained inAppendixes A and B.1.2 D e t a i l . The level of detail contained in this specification is necessary to comply with the requirem

6、entsof the Joint Computer - aided Acquisition and Logistics Support (JCALS) system.2 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS2.1 G e n e r a l . The documents listed in this section are specified in sections 3, 4 or 5 of this specification.This section does not include documents cited in other sections of this specific

Charts A and E shall be used as the contents of T O 1X - XXXX - 5 - 1(Sample Basic W eight Checklists) and T O 1X - XXXX - 5 - 2 (Loading Data) manuals for the app

17、licableT ype/Model/Series aircraft or rotorcraft (see 6.2 b. ). The contractor shall prepare this data, using ESC/HGGI,for Air Force completion of the W eight and Balance Handbook. This data shall be for representative orindividual aircraft as specified in T O 1 - 1B - 50.3.2 D e v e l o p m e n t a

18、 n d p r e p a r a t i o n . The general manner of development and preparation for manuals shall bein accordance with the requirements of MIL - STD - 38784.3.3 S a m p l e b a s i c w e i g h t c h e c k l i s t s ( T O 1 X - X X X X - 5 - 1 ) .3.3.1 S a m p l e b a s i c w e i g h t c h e c k l i s

19、 t s m a n u a l a r r a n g e m e n t . The contractor shall use the Document T ypeDefinition (DTD) that is available at the TMSS website (see A.4.1 ). If electronic delivery of this manual isrequired (see 6.2 c. ). Each sample Basic W eight Checklists manual shall consist of the following:a. Front

20、 Matterb. Chapter 1 - Introductionc. Chapter 2 - Sample Basic W eight Checklists (Chart A)3.3.1.1 F r o n t m a t t e r . Unless otherwise specified by the acquiring activity (see 6.2 d. ), illustrations of theChart A item locations shall be included. The front matter shall consist of a title page a

21、nd table ofcontents in accordance with the requirements of MIL - STD - 38784. The following is an exception tothe general front matter requirements:Electronic media requirement: The front matter shall include a list of changes.Printed media requirement: The front matter shall include a list of ef fe

The sample Basic W eightChecklists and diagrams shall be legible, either when the manual is viewed vertically (normal readingposition), or when the manual is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the vertical position. Illustrations of theChart A item locations shall be inserted as a facing

23、 page to the corresponding items listing (see figure 3 .).3.3.1.1.1 S a m p l e b a s i c w e i g h t c h e c k l i s t s t i t l e . The words “SAMPLE BASIC WEIGHT CHECKLISTS“ shallbe used as the type of publication. The aircraft type designation shall be used as the prime title.3.3.1.2 C h a p t e

24、 r 1 - I n t r o d u c t i o n . Chapter 1 shall contain the foreword/preface/introduction requirements ofMIL - STD - 38784. In addition, it shall include an explanation of how to use and maintain the sampleChart A, and create a new Chart A (see figure 1 ).3.3.1.3 C h a p t e r 2 - S a m p l e b a s

25、 i c w e i g h t c h e c k l i s t s ( C h a r t A ) . Chapter 2 shall begin by identifying thesample Basic W eight Checklists contained in the manual (see figure 2 ). The remainder of Chapter 2shall consist of the sample Basic W eight Checklists. These lists shall be identical to the final approved

26、Chart A, as specified in 3.1, except that the words “Sample Only“ shall be printed immediately followingthe aircraft T ype/Model/Series designation in the Model/Design/Series block and the “RECORD OFCHECKING“ columns shall be blank.3.4 L o a d i n g d a t a ( T O 1 X - X X X X - 5 - 2 ) . Print medi

27、a requirement: Loading Data, charts, tables, anddiagrams shall be legible either when the manual is viewed vertically (normal reading position), or when themanual is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the vertical position.3.4.1 L o a d i n g d a t a m a n u a l a r r a n g e m e n t . The words “LOADING DA T A“ shall be used as the type of publication.

31、 Theaircraft type designation shall be used as the prime title.3.4.1.2 C h a p t e r 1 - I n t r o d u c t i o n . Chapter 1 shall contain the foreword/preface/introduction requirementsof MIL - STD - 38784. In addition, it shall include a weight and balance classification reference, and anexplanatio

32、n of how to use the Chart E (see figure 4 ).3.4.1.3 C h a p t e r 2 - L o a d i n g D a t a . Chapter 2 shall begin by delineating weight and balance controlrequirements, aircraft weighing requirements and intervals, and the contained Loading Data (Chart E). Theweighing intervals shall be determined

33、 by the acquiring activity (see figures 5 and 6 ). The remainder ofChapter 2 shall consist of the Loading Data identical to the final approved Chart E as specified in 3.1.Chart E shall begin with general aircraft weighing instructions, aircraft diagram, and general notes af fectingaircraft loading.

34、The remaining Chart E content, such as loading tables, graphs, etc., shall appear in theorder of use on the Form F - W eight and Balance Clearance Form (DD Form 365 - 4), as represented infigures 5 , 6 and 7 . Necessary Chart E additions or deletions shall be made as specified or approvedby the acqu

35、iring activity (see 6.2 e. and 6.2 f. ).4 VERIFICA TION4.1 V e r i fi c a t i o n r e q u i r e m e n t s . When the technical data produced according to this specification is of feredfor acceptance, all tests, reviews, and verifications required by the acquiring activity to determine thatit conform

36、s to the requirements in section 3 of the specification, shall be performed as specified inthe solicitation or contract. The Air Force T echnical Order Policy and Procedures (AF T OPP) team,AFMC/A4UE, provides the specific requirements for verification of technical data developed and deliveredthroug

37、h this specification, as well as guidance for including these requirements in the solicitation or contract(see T O 00 - 5 - 3, AF T echnical Order Life Cycle Management, 2.2.2 ).4.2 C o m p l i a n c e . T echnical manuals (TMs) shall meet all requirements of section 3 of this specification andthe a

38、ppropriate DTD appendix, as required by the acquiring activity (see 6.2 ). The requirements set forth inthis specification shall become a part of the contractor s overall inspection system or quality program.The absence of any requirements in this specification shall not relieve the contractor of th

39、e responsibilityof ensuring that all products or supplies, submitted to the government for acceptance, comply with allrequirements of the contract. Use of sampling inspections shall be at the discretion of the contractor , and inaccordance with commercially acceptable quality assurance procedures. H

40、owever , use of sampling in QAprocedures does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does itcommit the government to accept defective material.5 P ACKAGING5.1 P a c k a g i n g . For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified

41、 in the contract ororder (see 6.2 ). When actual packaging of material is to be performed by DoD or in - house contractorpersonnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain requisite packagingrequirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory

42、Control Point s packaging activitywithin the Military Department or Defense Agency , or within the military system command. Packaging dataretrieval is available from the managing Military Department s or Defense Agency s automated packagingfiles, CD - ROM products, or by contacting the responsible p

43、ackaging activity .6 NOTES(This section contains information of a general or explanatory nature that may be helpful, but is notmandatory).6.1 I n t e n d e d u s e . The technical manuals prepared in accordance with this document provide requiredinformation to service activities for the preparation

44、of checklists that will be inserted into the W eightand Balance Handbook for individual aircraft. The necessary Loading Data and restrictions required tocomplete DD Form 365 - 4 will also be provided. 46、 W eight and Balance Handbooks.6.2 A c q u i s i t i o n r e q u i r e m e n t . Acquisition documents must specify the following:a. T itle, number , and date of this document.b. Charts A and E, as approved by the acquiring activity engineering personnel (see 3.1 ).c. If electronic delivery of the m

47、anuals is required (see 3.3.1 and 3.4.1 ).d. If illustrations of the Chart A item locations are to be other than as specified in thisdocument (see 3.3.1.3 ).e. The weighing intervals to be included (see 3.4.1.3 ).f. If Chart E additions or deletions are to be made (see 3.4.1.3 ).g. If representative
