The requirements of the applicable detail drawing (see 6.3) shall form a part of this specification. * 3.4 Strength. The Types MB-2A, MB-5, and MB-6 shoulder harnesses shall be capable of wi
8、thstanding a static load of 3,600 pounds without deformation of the metal fittings, slippage of the webbing through the adjusting hardware, weakening of the webbing, or weakening of the stitching. * 3.5 Identification of product. A label conforming to DDD-L-20, type II, class 11, shall be sewn on ea

The examining and testing of harnesses shall be classified as follows: (a) Preproduction inspect ion (b) Quality conformance inspection. * 4.3 Preproduction inspection. The preproduction test sample, consisting o
16、f one harness of each type on the.contract or order, shall be subjected to the following examinations and tests as described under 4.5: (a) Examination of product (4.5.1) (b) Examination of loop (4.5.2) (c) Ultimate load (4.5.4). * 4.4 Quality conformance inspection. Quality conformance inspection s

Each harness shall be subjected to the follow- ing examinations and test as described u
18、nder 4.5: (a) Examination of product (4.5.1) (b) Examination of loop (4.5.2) (c) Proof load (4.5.3). * 4.4.2 Sampling inspection. Unless otherwise specified by the procuring activity (see 6.2), harnesses shall be sampled in accordance with inspection level S-3 of Mu-STD-105. The acceptable quality l
19、evel shall be 1.5 percent defective. The test samples shall be subjected to the ultimate load test as described in 4.5.4. * 4.5 Inspection methods 4.5.1 Examination of product. The harness shall be examined to determine conformance to this specification with respect to materials, workmanship, dimens
20、ions, and markings. * 4.5.2 Examination of loop. Each end loop of each shoulder harness shall be examined to determine conformance to this specification with respect to dimen- sions. This examination shall be conducted on the MB-U and MB-6 harness loops only, subsequent to the proof load test after
21、a waiting period of not less than 24 hours. Loop acceptability shall be determined by use of an inspection tool conforming to figure 1. 24、Each shoulder harness shall be subjected to a proof load of 1,000 pounds in accordance with the procedure specified in 4.5.4.1. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packagim. Preservation

Harnesses shall be packaged in accordance with method III of MIL-P-116, using a unit container conforming to PPP-B-636, class weather res is tant . 5.1.2 Level B. Each harness shall be packaged in accordance with method
32、 III of MIL-P-116, one each in a unit container conforming to PPP-B-636. 5.1.3 Level C. Harnesses shall be packaged in a manner to provide adequate protection against deterioration or damage during shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity, 5.2 Packing. Packing shall be level A

Harnesses packaged as specified in 5.1 shall be packed in shipping containers conforming to PPP-B-636, class weather resistant. Shipping containers shall be of minimum cube and tare consistent with the
