1、ATIS-0600010.04.2017 American National Standard on Operational Vibration Requirements for Communications Equipment Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions Approved May 11, 2017 Abstract This standard specifies covers the minimum operational vibration criteria for communications equipment.

2、 It is the intent of this standard to utilize the latest versions of ATIS standards that are referenced. It is also the intent to utilize (where appropriate) newer versions of other standards or documents that are referenced provided they do not conflict with the intent of this standard. ATIS-060001

STEP is committed to proactive engagement with national, regional, and international standards development organizations a

7、nd forums that share its scope of work. ANSI guidelines specify two categories of requirements: mandatory and recommendation. The mandatory requirements are designated by the word shall and recommendations by the word should. Where both a mandatory requirement and a recommendation are specified for

8、the same criterion, the recommendation represents a goal currently identifiable as having distinct compatibility or performance advantages. Suggestions for improvement of this document are welcome. 10、mechanical misalignment; cracked or broken structures; fretting or corrosion in bearings; migration of particles or failed components; particles or failed components lodged in circuitry or mechanisms; etc. 3.1.7 Relative Humidity: The ratio, expressed in percent, of the amount of atmospheric moistur

11、e present relative to the amount that would be present if the air were saturated at a specific temperature. 3.1.8 Sweep Cycle: A traverse of the specified frequency range once in each direction (fmin to fmax to fmin constitutes one sweep cycle). 1This document is available from the Alliance for Tele

ATIS-0600010.04.2017 3 3.2 Acronyms however, actual production samples are not required. If testing is performed with pre-rel

13、ease hardware and changes occur prior to release, the changes must be analyzed to determine if they may reasonably impact the outcome of the tests. If a significant impact is indicated, the testing shall be repeated on released hardware. 4.1 Equipment Test Categories and Configurations Equipment bei

14、ng subjected to operational vibration testing shall be defined into one of the following categories. Only the test method and acceptance criteria for the selected category shall be applied throughout the testing. NOTE: These categories and configurations are taken from ATIS-0600329 and can be perfor

15、med in conjunction with earthquake resistance testing. 4.1.1 Indoor Equipment Category A Shelf level equipment 100. Bandwidth 5 Hz. Overall grms 1 dB. Sinusoidal Vibration The tolerance allowed for vibration is 1 dB. Frequency 1%. 5 Test Matrix Random vibration is usually considered to represent a m

16、ore realistic vibration characteristic compared with sinusoidal. Random vibration shall be used as the environmental parameter unless significant sinusoidal vibration is known to be present in a particular application/installation. In this case, it may be desirable to test the equipment using these

17、sinusoidal waveforms, especially if it cannot be determined if the resonant frequencies of the equipment are outside of the known vibration frequencies. In all cases, pole mounted equipment shall be tested to the sinusoidal vibration requirement. Table 5.1: Test Matrix Test Levels Indoor Location In

19、 Tables The electrodynamic or electro hydraulic shaker table shall be capable of reproducing the Broadband random signal from 4 to 200 Hz with a tolerance of 3 dB. The test apparatus shall have sufficient capability to apply the vibration uniformly over the entire test surface. It shall also be capa

20、ble of producing single axis vibration at the required input spectrum of continuously varying amplitudes of up to 3 sigma throughout the entire frequency range of 4 to 200 Hz. ATIS-0600010.04.2017 7 Accelerometers The accelerometer shall have a minimum dynamic range of 4 to 200 Hz. Tolerance of the

21、accelerometer is 5%. Vibration Control System The vibration control system shall be capable of producing a random vibration signal with Gaussian distribution over the range of 4 to 200 Hz with a tolerance of 3 dB. The resolution of the random analysis shall be no greater than 5 Hz. If using a digita

22、l analyzer, the digitizing rate shall be 200 Hz with a total storage capacity of 30 seconds, real time. The vibration control system should be capable of accepting a correction factor to accept variances in accelerometer outputs. 6.1.2 Support Equipment Support equipment should be appropriate for co

23、ntrolling, powering, or monitoring system performance. The equipment should be capable of monitoring degradations in performance or service as appropriate for the EUT (i.e., synchronization losses, pattern losses, BER, lost cells or packets, upstream and downstream rates, etc.). The equipment shall be powered and verified for pro

Mount the EUT in its normal operating position securely on the vibration machine (per section 4.1

28、). 2. Measure the input acceleration with a suitable transducer. 3. Monitor EUT functionality during the complete duration of the test. 4. Subject the EUT to the prescribed random vibration per Test Parameters section 6.2.1. 5. Inspect the EUT for physical damage following the vibration testing. 6.

35、ers, board revisions, etc. Description of the standards/requirements being tested to (ATIS-0600010.04). Test methodology. Pictures of the EUT, and the test bed setup. Description of the test setup, including interfaces and functionality that were monitored and what interfaces were not monitored and

36、the rationale as to why. Diagrams of the test bed setup. Engineering judgments or assumptions. All relevant test data (including photographs of visible damage). Description of the pass/fail criteria utilized and the results. Vibration plots. Equipment List for support/test equipment utilized. Calibration information. Anomalies (if any). Location of equipment within the cabinet/enclosure under test. Block Diagrams or Schematics. Operating procedures of the equipment functionality.
