27、he lamps commonly used for microfilm projectors into a single performance standard. The lamps contained in this standard are not to be considered as interchangeable, although physically they will all fit the common GX5.3 sockets. The photometry of each lamp is dependent upon the system for which it

28、was designed and on the system in which it is used. Representative photometric values are found in Table 2 with typical projection systems found in Annex A Two-inch (51 mm) dichroic coated integral reflector, rim reference, tungsten halogen lamps with GX5.3 bases having the following ANSI lamp desig

Tungsten-halogen lamps operate at high temperature and at internal gas pressures above atmospheric pressure. Consequently, a lamp could s

38、hatter. Certain lamps may also emit some amount of ultraviolet radiation. Therefore a suitable protective shield, screening technique, or both shall be used with the luminaire to protect people and surroundings from both hazards. 2. 42、l screen photometry appraisal with lamps placed in aperture and lens systems that simulate projectors. See Figure AI in Annex A for typical projection systems used for small screen photometry appraisal of the lamps in this standard. Light from lamps passes through a condenser lens, a rectangular, sq

43、uare, or circular aperture, and a projection lens, and is formed into a rectangular, square, or circular image proportional in size to the aperture. This image is projected onto a small screen equipped with photocells for measurement of both intensity and uniformity with distance from the lamp to sc

44、reen determined by desired image size on the screen. A typical image screen, as shown in Figure 2, has five photocells that measure light intensity in footcandles or lumens per square foot. Light intensity in center footcandles is measured by the center cell, and uniformity in terms of corner-to- ce

45、nter ratio is measured by the four corner cells.
