2、 the Department of Defense, 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification establishes the requirements for manufacture and acceptance of the Display Power Supply Circuit Card Assembly: 9355847, used in the Mortar Ballistics Computer (MBC) : M23. Througout this specification this assembly is referenced as “

In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. 3 . REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Item definition. The display power supply ci

12、rcuit card assembly shall provide the Mortar Ballistic Computer (MBC) with display and electroluminescent drive voltages from various battery voltages or from unregulated external prime power. It also supplies control logic for the MBC logic power supply and a RAM standby battery with charging circu

13、itry. are listed in Table I. 15、 with the following requirements. 3.2.1.1 Display on. .connected to P2-BS (GND) and shall turn off when Pl-B2 is The supply shall turn on when Pl-B2 is connected to P2-Al. It shall be considered on when requirement 3.2.1.2 is met. 3.2.1.2 Positive volts. volts DC when referenced to GND. 3.2.1.3 Batt

The +35V output shall have an AC component with a voltage level less than 0.6 volts peak to peak that is at a frequency less than 1 megahertz, Pl-Al shall be +35 plus or minus 2.5 P2-Bl shall be plus 5.4 plus or minus 3.2.1.5 Ove

17、rload/shortcircuit protection. The +35V output shall begin to decrease in voltage when the output current is at least 22 milliamperes and at most 55 milliamperes. The voltage between P2-A$ and-GND shall be .5 plus or minus .5 volts DC when Pi-B3 is connected to GND. After Pl-B3 is disconnected from GND and then P1

19、-B4 is connected to P2-A1, the voltage between P2-B4 and GND shall be 21 plus or minus 11: volts DC. I 3.2.1.7 Electroluminescent panel hiqh. P1-A2 shal be 35 Dlus or minus-15 volts rms when referenced to Pl-A3 after P1-B1 is ionnected to PS-A1 and shall be less than 3 volts rms after 1-Bl is discon

20、necte. 3.2.1.8 Common connector contact continuity. The resistance between GND and P2-B3 shall be lessthan7.5 ohms. 3.2.2 Physical characteristics. The physical characteristics shall be as prescribed by the drawings, specifications, and QAPs. 3.2.3 Reliability. When specified in the contract, a spec

21、ial sample shall be- subjected ta reliability testing. manufacturing- and production techniques empoyed in. the fabrication of the supply shall not degrade the inherent reliability. The inher-ent reliability shall not be less than 131,068 hours Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). (See 4 and 6) The 3.

22、3 Environmentax. The supply shall meet the requirements specified here.in unie a 5.3 plus or minus .1 volts DC power supply to P2-A1 and P2-A2 both with respect to GND; a 1200 plus or minus 12 Hz square wave generator that has a high level of 4.6 plus or minus -7 volts DC and a low level of .5 plus

23、or minus .5 volts DC to Pl-A4 with respect to GND; a 43.2 kilohm plus or minus 1 percent 1/10 watt resistor in parallei with a .O47 microfarad plus or minus 1 percent 100 volt AC capacitor. Connect the parallel combination between P1-A2 and Pl-A3; and a 21 plus or minus II volts DC power supply to P

24、2-A3 with respect to P2-B2. 4.6.3.1 Display on. Connect Pl-B2 to GND. The supply shall turn on as specified in 3.2.1.1. 4.6.3.2 Positive volts. Turn on the supply while monitoring Pl-Al with a voltmeter. The output response shall be as specified in 3.2,1.2. 9 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduc

After P2-A3 has been connected to a voltase source, as specified in 4.6.3, for 30 to 45 minutes disconnect thevoltage. to GND. The measured voltage shall be as specif

26、ied in 3.2.1.3. Measure the voltage at P2-Bl with respect 4.6.3.4 Output ripple. Turn on the supply. With an oscilloscope, look at the output ripple at theT+3XV output with respect to GND. The output response shall be as specified in 3.2.1.4. 4.6.3.5 Overload/shortcircuit protection. Conduct this te

27、st by connectinq a variable (O to 10 kilohm) 10 watt resistor in series with a 500 milliamp DC current meter. Connect the variable resistor current meter combination between +35-V and GND. Set the resistor to its maximum resistance and turn on the supply. Slowly decrease the resistance while at the

28、same time noting the current meter reading and the DC voltage level at +35V with respect to GND. The output response shall be as specified in 3.2.1.5. 4.6.3.6 Power supply run. Conduct this test by connecting Pl-B3 to GND while monitoring P2-A4 with a voltmeter. Then disconnect Pl-B3 from GND and co

29、nnect Pl-B4 to+5V. The out response shall be as specified in 3.2.1.6. 4.6.3.7 Electroluminescent pane2 high. Turn on the supply while monitsrina the AC voltacre between P1-A2 and Pl-A3. Connect P1IB1 toT+5V. 3.2.1.7. ?he output resGonse shall be as specified in 4.6.4 Common connector contact continu

30、ity. This test shall be conducted with no external power connected to the supply. Measure with an ohm meter the resistame between GND and P2-B3. The resistance shall be as specified in 3.2.1.8. 4.6.5 Workmanship. The supply shall be subjected to a visual and tactile examination for evidence of fault

31、y workmanship. The supply shall conform to the requirements of 3.6. 4.7 Reliability testinq. The requirement for reliability test approval and the responsibility (Government or contractor) for reliability testing shall be as specified in the contract. The sample for reliability test shall consist of

32、 3 supplies. The samples shall be manufactured in the same manner, using the same materials, equipment, processes, and procedures as will be used in the production of the balance of the contract quantity. All parts and materials, indluding packaging and packing, shall be obtained from the same sourc

33、e of supply as will be used in the production of the balance of the contract quantity. When the Government is responsible for conducting reliability tests,

34、the contractor prior to submitting the sample to the Government, shall inspect the sample to assure that it conforms to all requirements of the contract and. submit a record of this inspection with the sample, including certificates of conformance for all materials. 4.7.2 Contractor testinq. When th

35、e contractor is responsible for conducting reliability tests, the sample shall be inspected and tested by the contractor for all the requirements of the contract. The sample and a record of these inspections and tests, including certificates of conformance for all materials, submitted to the Governm

36、ent for approval. The Government reserves the right to witness any or all of the contractors reliability tests and inspections. shall be 5 . PREPARATION FOR DELI-VERY 5.1 Delivery requirements. Handling, packaging, packing, shipping, and marking of the Display Power Supply Logic Circuit Card Assembl

37、y, 9355847 shall be in accordance with Packaging Data Sheet 9355847. the procurement document. The level of protection shall be as specified in 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The display described herein is intended for use in the MBC. See drawing 11785850. 6.2 Orderinq data. Procurement documents shall

38、 specify the following: a. Title, number and date of this specification. b, Provisions for first article testing. c. Provisions for reliability testing. d. Applicable Packaging Data Sheet. e. Applicable levels of pxeservation, packing, and marking (see 5.1). f. Applicable stock numbers.
