2、ommand, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements, examinations and tests for the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Target used in the Gunfire Simulator (GUFS), also known as the Target Kill Simulat

3、or (TKS), used as a component of the Remote Target System (RETS) (see 6.1). 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS O 2.1 Government documents. 2.1.1 Specifications, standards, and handbooks. In the event of a conflict between

13、 the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. (See contract provisions for additional precedence criteria.) 3. REQUIR

14、EMENTS 3.1 Materials. Materials shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications. 3.2 Components and assemblies. The components and assemblies shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing 12725086, all associated drawings, and with all requirements specified in appli

15、cable specifications and standards. Where applicable, the CCA shall meet the requirements of MIL-F-13926 as follows: a. Dimensions and tolerances. b. Inorganic protective surface finishings. c. Part identification and marking. d. Workmanship. 3.3 Performance. 3.3.1 Firincr command. The CCA upon rece

16、ipt of a firing command on Pin N (M21) or Pin I or J (Smoke) of the GUFS input connector shall verify that the command is valid before processing the command to the firing circuits. A valid firing command shall satisfy the following conditions: a. Minimum voltage: 9.3 VDC b. Maximum voltage: 13.6 VD

17、C c. Minimum pulse width: 50 milliseconds d. Once a valid firing command has been dete

18、cted by the CCA, the firing sequence shall be initiated and all further inputs shall be interrupted until the firing sequence, including the firing pulse lockout period, has been completed. 3.3.1.2 Firins Dulse lockout. A minimum delay of two (2) seconds shall be provided between the completion of o

19、ne firing sequence and initiation of a second firing sequence in response to a valid command. The CCA shall not respond to any input commands sensed during the firing pulse lockout period. 3.3.2 Firinq sequence. The CCA shall provide two separate firing modes: a. Sequential firing of GUFS ports 1 th

20、rough 20. b. Partitioned firing of GUFS ports 1 through 15 and ports 16 through 20. Each partitioned segment shall be fired in sequence as commanded. 3.3.2.1 Sequential mode (M21). Upon receipt of a valid firing command on Pin N, a single firing pulse shall be directed to the next firing port in seq

21、uence starting with port 1 and continuing through port 20. Each port will be fired once and the circuitry shall retain last port firing sequence until the system is reset and rearmed. 3.3.2.2 Partitioned mode (M21 and smoke). Upon receipt of a valid firing command on Pin I or J of the GUFS, the CCA

22、shall automatically partition itself into two firing sections. Parts 1 through 15 shall fire when commanded by an input pulse on Pin N (M21). Ports 16 through 20 shall fire when commanded by an input on Pins I or J (Smoke). In response to a valid command the ports in each section shall fire a single

23、 output in sequence within the designated section. Each port shall be fired once and the circuitry shall retain the last port fired sequence for each section until the system is reset and rearmed. 3.3.2.3 Input-transfer. When the last port is fired in any firing mode for either a sequential or a par

24、titioned GUFS device, the CCA shall automatically transfer the next firing command directly to the input-transfer connector (54). The firing command transferred shall control any GUFS unit connected to the GUFS input-transfer connector in tandem with the basic device. 4 Provided by IHSNot for Resale

The CCA shall contain a non- volatile resetable memory for each firing section. The memory circuits shall increment one position each time a valid firi

26、ng command is detected. Last position commanded per section shall be retained until an automatic reset command is received. interruptions or shutdown of the primary power source shall not cause loss, change, or reset of the memory circuits. Memory circuits shall automatically reset when the ARM/SAFE

27、 switch is placed in the SAFE position as part of the normal GUFS reloading sequence. Power 3.3.3 Output command. 3.3.3.1 Output pulse power. The firing circuits shall provide a current regulated output of 1.7 to 2.2 amps for a duration of 110-140 milliseconds at each commanded firing port. This out

28、put shall be independent of the load applied to the output port from 0.5 to 3.0 ohms. 3.3.3.2 Safety interlock. The CCA shall normally maintain a short circuit across all output lines. directed to the specified port to be fired. The short across the port to be fired is only removed during the firing

29、 cycle for that port. 3.3.4 Input Dower. The CCA shall automatically monitor the input power lines to prevent inadvertent or false firing commands to be generated when subjected to the following input conditions: Power shall only be a. Power up transients. b. Low power condition: Less than 10.5 VDC

30、c. Overvoltage condition: Greater than 13.6 VDC d. Reverse voltage. e. RFI/EMI transients. 3.3.4.1 Power-up interrupt. The CCA firing circuits shall be interrupted for 60 to 120 seconds after initial power up (Arming) of the GUFS. If during the power up lockout period, (60 to 120 seconds) transients

31、, power interruptions, or firing commands are sensed, the power up lockout period will be reset. A minimum of 60 seconds of uninterrupted main power must be sensed before the firing circuits can be energized. 3.3.4.2 Low power interruDt. The CCA firing circuits shall not be energized if the input fi

32、ring signal is less than 9.3 VDC. The CCA shall include protection against overvoltage and reverse voltage input po

33、wer conditions. Protection shall also be provided against the effects of both positive and negative power line transient inputs in excess of requirements of 3.3.1. 3.3.5 Input/output interconnections. nput/output connections to the CCA shall be provided by four (4) connector receptacles: a. b. Wirinq connections CCA. 3.4 Environmental. The CCA shall meet the r

36、equirements specified herein unless otherwise specified. 3.4.1 Room ambient temperature. The requirements of this specification shall be met with the CCA stabilized at room ambient temperature of +1O“C (50F) to 32C (9O“F), unless other- wise specified. 3.4.2 Operatinq temperature. The CCA shall meet

37、 the performance requirements in 3.3.2 through 3.3.5, inclusive, when exposed to temperatures from -32C (-25F) to +69“C (149F). 3.4.3 Vibration. The CCA shall meet the requirements of 3.3 after being subjected to MIL-STD-810, Method 514, Procedure 1-3.3.1 using Figure 514.4-1 for one hour of random

Testing shall be conducted in a fixture which duplicates the CCA mounting configuration when installed in the

39、 GUFS end application device. 3.4.4 Reliability. Each circuit card assembly shall be subject to a burn-in test to screen out any latent defects which would limit operational reliability in the GUFS. This shall be accomplished by subjecting each board to the burn-in test cycle and verifying performan

40、ce per 3.3. 3.4.5 Conformal coatinq. Each CCA, after completion of a burn-in test sequence, shall be conformally coated with a minimum of 3 Mil coating. 3.5 First article. When specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection in accordanc

41、e with the technical provisions herein (see 4.3). 3.6 Solderinq. All soldering shall be in accordance with the requirements of drawing 11785556, Note 1. 3.7 Workmanship. The workmanship requirements of MIL-F- 13926, and applicable requirements of MIL-STD-454 shall apply. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISI

42、ONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the con

43、tractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed ne

44、cessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 Responsibility for comDliance. All items shall meet all requirements of Sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality progr

45、am. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing

47、l, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept defective material. 4.1.2 General provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein, the provisions of MIL-F-13926 and MIL-STD-454 apply and form a part of this specification. Reference shall be made to MIL-STD-109 to define qual

48、ity assurance terms used herein. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.3). b. Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4). c. Special sampling inspection (see 4.5). 4.2.1 Inspection conditions. Unles

49、s otherwise specified, all examinations and tests shall be conducted at the following standard ambient conditions: a. Temperature +50F to +90F b. Relative humidity 90% RH Max. c. Pressure 28 to 32 inches Hg 4.3 First article inspection. 4.3.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit a first article sample as designated by the Contracting Officer con- sisting of three CCAs for inspection in acco
