2、 May 1984, and is approved for use by the U.S. Army Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. PAGE 16 4.5.1.1: Delete entire paragraph and replace with the following: *. “4.5.1.1 Moi r .An accurately weighed portion of (3) grams (9.) of the charge composition shall be transferred to a tared dish. Transfer an accurately weighed portion of approximately 2 grams of the flash powder that was dr

8、ied for the moisture determination to a tared crucible. Wash the sample between 10 and 15 times-with 5 milliliter portions of cold carbon disulfide and rinse with ether. Continue washing the sample with fifteen, 20 milliliters portions of cold distilled water, allowing each wash of the water to rema

9、in in contact with the sample approximately 1 minute before applying suction. Aspirate the crucible and contents thoroughly, and dry in an oven maintained at a temperature of 100 plus 5 degrees C. The crucible and contents shall be cooled in a desiccator and weighed. To the contents remaining in the

10、 crucible, add several portions of hot dilute hydrochloric acid until the reaction subsides. After all reaction has ceased, wash the residue with several portions of hot water. Dry the crucible and contents in the 100 plus 5 degree C oven and then cool in a desiccator and weigh. Calculate the percen
