This specification covers the requirements for one type of load binding system in cargo aircraft. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. The documents listed in this section are cited in

13、tion has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to a first article inspection in accordance with 4.2. 14、construction. Materials and construction details shall conform to the requirements of the applicable specifications and as specified herein. A tie-down assembly shall consist of one of the following items: 3.2.1 Load binder. The load binder shall be in accordance with the requirements of MIL-DTL-430
15、21. 3.2.2 Tie-down strap. The tie-down strap shall be in accordance with the requirements of MIL-DTL-43342 and Drawing 11-1-892. 3.2.3 “Dee” ring. The dee ring shall conform to the requirements of PIA Standard PS 22046-8. 3.3 Marking. Identification marking of each component shall be in accordance w
16、ith the applicable specification or standard. 3.4 Workmanship. The workmanship shall conform to the quality established by the applicable specification. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of Inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspect
17、ion (see 4.2). b. Conformance inspection (see 4.3). 4.2 First article inspection. First article inspection shall be performed on one complete tie-down assembly, unless otherwise stated in the contract, when a first article sample is specified (see 3.1). The inspection shall include the tests and exa
18、minations of 4.3.1 and 4.4. Any defect or nonconformance shall be cause for rejection of the first article. 4.3 Conformance inspection. Conformance inspections shall include the examinations of 4.3.1 and 4.5 Sampling plans and acceptance/rejection criteria shall be as specified in the contract or pu
19、rchase order. Tie-down assemblies which fail the acceptance criteria shall be cause for rejection of the lot. 4.3.1 Component and material inspection. Components and materials shall be inspected in accordance with all the requirements of referenced documents unless otherwise excluded, amended, modif
20、ied, or qualified in this specification or applicable purchase document. 4.4 Examinations. Each item (see 3.2.1, 3.2.2 and 3.2.3) shall be examined for conformance to the applicable specification. 5. 21、IHS-,-,-MIL-DTL-44036A 4 5.1 Packaging. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When actual packaging of material is to be performed by DoD personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertai
22、n requisite packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activity within the Military Department or Defense Agency, or within the Military Departments System Command. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing Military Departmen
23、ts or Defense Agencys automated packaging files, CD-ROM products, or by contacting the responsible packaging activity. 6. NOTES (This section contains information of a general explanatory nature that may be helpful, but is not mandatory.) 6.1 Intended use. The cargo tiedown assembly is intended for
24、securing general cargo and equipment for transport and air delivery. It can exert a binding force of up to 10,000 pounds. 6.2 Acquisition requirements.
