、he test shall be conducted in accordance with the procedures outlined in MIL-STD-331, Test 101.2, Procedure II. Immediately after the completion of the jolt test, the fuzes shall be subjected to the jumble test in accordance with MIL-STD-331, Test 102.1. After the jumble test, the fuzes shall be dis
、assembled to determine if the fuzes have been armed or become unsafe in any way. If so, the conditions shall be classed as defective. If one or more fuzes are classed defective, the lot shall be rejected. 4.5.3 Drop test, 1.5 meter. The complete fuze assemblies without the pull wire set s“ shall be
、assembled to inert loaded projectiles as specified in the contract and subjected to the 1.5 meter drop test in accordance with MIL-STD-331, Test 111.1, . Procedure 1. After this test, the fuzes shall be disassembled to determine if the fuzes have been armed or become unsafe in any way. If so, the co
、ndition shall be classed defective. If one or more fuzes are classed defective, the lot shall be rejected. 0 4.5.4 Waterproofness. The loaded fuze assemblies shall be subjected to the waterproofness test in accordance with MIL-STD-331, Test 108, except as provided in 3.6. After this test, the fuzes
、shall be disassembled and examined under the ultra-violet light to determine compliance with 3.6, Any assembly that does not comply with the requirements specified in 3.6 shall be classed defective. 15 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-
、MIL-F-70 62OA (AR) 4.5.5 Performance test (proving ground ballistic) (see 6.4). 4.5.5.1 Arminq safety. The fuze shall be assembled to the inert filled 81mm cartridge set “s“ and fired at charge 1 from an 81mm mortar. They shall be fired against an one inch plywood screen set a distance of 40 meter +
、 1 meter. If any fuze functions during the test, the lot shall be rejected. If any fuze does not function and the velocity is less than the requirement, the sample shall be classed a “no test“ and a new sample shall be selected and tested. 4.5.5.2 Mechanical time functioning. The sample fuzes shall
、be assembled to 81mm, M819 cartridges, or M853A1 cartridges and fired from an M252 mortar between 450 and 850 elevation for air burst functioning. All fuze settings shall be photographed utilizing an instant, self processing camera. Three independent infrared sensing chronograph systems will be used
、 to measure time of burst. The times shall be recorded from the chronograph counters to three decimal places. The three recorded time values for each round are averaged and the average is rounded to the nearest 0.01 second. When the first digit removed is 5, the last digit retained should increase b
、y one unit if it is an odd number and it should not be changed if it is an even number. If one time value is lost or is determined to be invalid, (see 6.5) the remaining two values are used. The time values obtained by the chronograph systems shall be used to calculate the estimate of lot percent de
、fectives. Where at least two chronograph systems provide a time value, the average shall be taken as the individual fuze value. The estimate of the lot percent defective shall be calculated using the methods prescribed in MIL-STD-414, Example B3. Any group which does not meet the time limits in 3.7.
