Requirements. 3.1 Procurement model. - The procurement model

10、 shall be the one which will be available for inspection by prospective bidders and will be lent to the contractor, in accordance with the invitation for bids. the invitation for bids, the equipment shall conform to the following: :Unless otherwise specified herein or in - 7 3.1.1 Construction. - Ex

11、cept as otherwise specified, physical construction of the equipment shall conform to the procurement model. 3.1.2 Features. - Except as otherwise specified, the equipment shall incorporate all features of the procurement model. 3.1.3 Verification. - As soon as the procurement model is received, and

12、with the minimum necessary adjusnent and alhement (if any), the contractor shall meas- ure its performance for compliance with specified characteristics of the equipment on contract. If the model does not meet the specified performance characteristics the contractor shall adjust or dine it for optim

13、um performance and then repeat the measurements. The contractor shall immediately prepare copies of a test report on the measurements, and forward them as required by the contract. In the case of con- flict between specified performance characteristics and performance of the model, the former shall

15、val.- These shall be in addition to the samples required for parts and materials approval in Specification MIL-E-5400. 3.2.2 Fabrication and assembly. - Preproduction samples shall be fabricated by the contractor and shall meet all requirements specified for the equipment on contract. The preproduct

16、ion samples shall be assembled using parts, materials, and processes that will be employed in production, and shall be fabricated and assembled in a manner similar to that to be used in production. 3.2.3 Approval and use. - Approval of preproduction samples shall not be con- strued as a waiver of an

17、y specified requirement. After being released ta the con- tractor (see 3.2.4), preproduction samples to be offered as units on contract shall be refabricated bf the contractor if necessary to meet specified requirements. 3.2.4 Reference standards. - After preproduction samples have been approved and

18、 returned to the contractorrs plant, thev shall be kert intact in custodv of the Gov- “. ernment inspector until released-by hk. to resolve any differences of opinion regarding interpretation of requirements; - . - Parts, materials, and processes; general. - In addition to any requirements of this s

19、pecification, covering parts, materials, and processes, such items shall con- form to Specification MIL-E -5400, including the selection requirements therein. They shall Ge used as reference standards 3.3 3.3.1 Motors. - Motors operating from a-c shall comply with requirements of Specification MIL-7

20、 969. 3.4 Service Conditions. - The equipment shall meet the following service condi- tions: . 3.4.1 Equipment operating. - The equipment shall be capable of meeting the requirements of this specification under any probable combination of the following: a. Temperature: (1) Continuous operation over

21、the range of -67F to +131F; the ambient temperature may remain approximately constant for long periods of time or may vary at a rate as high as 1.8F per second. (2) Operation at 160 OF for a continuous period of 30 minutes, after non- operating temperature stabilization at +160 o F. 4 Copyright Comm

Humidity. - Operatiop shall be at relative humidity ranging up to 100 percent at temp

23、eratures up to 122“F, for both continuous and intermittent periods, including conditions wherein condensation takes place in an on the equipment in the form of both water and frost. - c. Altitude. - The equipment shall meet the altitude specified in paragraph 4.14. d. Orientation. (1) Equipment oper

24、ating. - The range of normal orientations of each article of equipment as installed shall be for such normal instala- tions subject to temporary complete inversion during flight. (See 4.7.9). e. Sand and dust. - (See 4.17). 3.4.2 Equipment non-operating. - Except as otherwise specified, the equipmen

25、t shall be capable of meeting the requirements of 3.4.1 after subjection to any one or more of the following non-operating conditions. - a. Temperature. - Ranging from -85F to 185“F, the temperature may re- main constant or may vary at a rate as high as 1.8“ F per second. b. Humidity. - The humidity

26、 range shall be up to 100 percent relative, at temperatures up to 122F for both continuous and intermittent periods, including conditions wherein condensation takes place in and on the equipment in the form of both water and frost. c. Altitude. - Barometric pressures shall range from 30 inches of me

27、rcury down to 1.32 inches of mercury (approximating an altitude of 70,000 feet). in any position for a period of one year. d. Orientation. - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily after storage e. Vibration and shock. - See paragraphs 4.11 and 4.13. f. g. Salt Spray. - (See 4.19) (Probe). Rain T

28、est. - (See 4.18) 3.5 System requirements. - Humidity-Temperature Measuring Set AN/AMQ-I( ) shall consist of components forming two similar servo systems; one for measuring temperature, and the other for determining dew point. The temperature servo sys- tem shall consist of the temperature sensing e

29、lement (part of the probe), an mpli- fier and an indicator. The humidity servo system shall consist of the humidity sensing element (separate and expendable item coyered by Specification ME-H- - 13186, but used in the probe), an amplifier (identical to the amplifier for the tem- perature servo syste

30、m), an indicator, and the probe. (See 3.5.2.6.1). 3.5.2 Equipment load characteristics.

31、(See 4-7.11.). 3.5.2.1 Equipment self modulation. - The wuipment shall oDerate under modu- versely affecting other equipment connected to the same power circuit, separate power input terminals shall be used for the modulating-producing component. I NOTE: Self-induced modulation is caused by variatio

32、ns in the power required by the equipment, causing a changing voltage drop in the wiring from the power source to the equipment. Detailed characteristies. - 3.6.5.1.1 Gearing mechanism. - The motor, balancing p

35、otentiometer and synchro shall be coupled together with necessary gearing and other components to satisfy the requirements specified herein. Suitable mechanical means shall be incorporated to protect the balancing potentiometer and associated gearing from damage when the mechanism runs to either end

36、 of the potentiometer. Means shall be provided to ad- just the mechanism just tight enough to prevent the servo motor from continuing to turn under the low torque conditions at the potentiometer end stops. Where neces- sary, spring-loaded gears or similar devices shall be utilized to insure a minimu

37、m of backlash. The system shall be so constructed that the alignment between the dial, Potentiometer and the synchro transmitter shall be maintained under all operating conditions specified herein. 3.6.5.2 Zero set. - Adjustments shall be provided in the bridge circuit of the amplifier to adjust the

38、 humidity and temperature indicators to their respective ref- erence value. The construction of which shall conform to the model. 3.6.5.3 Stability. - The stability of the indicator shall be such that it will not hunt when subjected to resistance changes corresponding to rates of relative humidity (

39、R.H.) factor from O to 20 percent R.H. Factor, per minute, that it will not hunt con- tinuously after step change in resistance. The temperature indicator shall meet the following requirements in addition to those speci-

44、fied in 3.6.3 and 3.6.4. 3.6.5.6.1 Resistance measurement. - The temperature indicator shali meas- ure the resistance of temperature element. It shall position pointer indications repre- sentative of these resistances, 3.6.5.6.2 Calibration. - A calibration adjustment shall be incorporated to ac- co

45、mmodate the use of a temperature element which may have any value of resistance from 1310 to 2020 at 30C. 3.6.5.6.3 Stability. - The stability of the indicator shall be such that it will re- spond to a step change of at least one-quarter full scale with an overshoot of no more than 1 percent of full

46、 scale and shall come positively to the balance point. Hunting shall not exceed O, 2 percent of the scale. (See 4.7.3). 3.6.5.6.4 Temperature channel calibration. The relationship between dial read- ing and resistance ratio shall be in accordance with table III. Any value of resistance between 1310

47、and 2020 ohms corresponding to 30C, the resistance values correspond- ing to dial readings shall be determined by multiplying the value of resistance corre- sponding to 30 o C by the resistance ratio. Resistance values corresponding to dial readings, when a resistance of 1800 corresponds to 30C, as

48、tabulated in the resist- ance column of table III. All of the test points shall fall within the tolerances speci- fied below, and 80 percent of the test points shall fall within one-half of the scale error tolerance. for all values of resistance within the range of the instrument. The resistance ver

49、sus dial reading shall represent a smooth curve 3.6.5.7 Sensitivity. - The change in resistance required to produce a change in dial reading shall be determined at several points on the dial as required by 4.7.10.
