The print cloth shall be unbleached cotton or as an alternate for type I, class 1, types II and III, class 4 pads, a 50 percent cotton, 50 percent polyester blended cloth, f 5 percent cotton or polyester with 54 by 35 minimum yarns per
17、 inch may be used and shall meet the requirements in table I when tested as specified in 4.2.1.1. TABLE I. The cheesecloth shall conform to type II, class 1 of CCC-C-440. type IV sleeve-heads and type I, class 1 pads may be made of fabric specified in 3.2.7, in which case the cheesecloth is not
19、 required. As an option, 3.2.2.2 Type III, class 2 pads. The cheesecloth shall be plain woven unbleached cotton cloth weighing 2.0 to 2.5 ounces per square yard. shall be as specified in 4.2.1.1. Testing 3.2.3 - Felt. The felt shall meet the following requirements when tested as specified in 4.2.1.1
20、. 3.2.3.1 Type II pads. The felt shall be a blend of cotton, wool, and rayon and shall weigh 4.2 to 4.3 ounces per square yard, any gray color and have a uniform thickness of 0.040 f 0.,005 inch. 21、tion or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-MIL-P-15064G 3.2.3.2 Type III, class 1 pads. The felt shall be a blend of cotton and wool; cotton, rayon, and wool; or cotton and rayon. The felt shall weigh not less than 6.0 ounces per square yard and have a thickness of 0.058 to 0.070 inch
22、 under a 10-ounce load. The wool content shall be a minimum of 40 percent dry weight. 3.2.3.3 Type III, class 2 pads. The felt shall be white or gray, pressed felt consisting of wool and cotton or wool, cotton and synthetic fibers, thoroughly mixed and carded to produce a uniform and even blend that
23、 is well felted. The felt shall be smooth, free from tears, holes, lumps, or foreign matter and shall contain no loading materials, such as starch, glue, or other sizing substance. a minimum thickness of 0.030 inch. The felt shall contain not less than 50 percent wool. The felt shall weigh 3 to 4 ou
24、nces per square yard and have 3.2.3.4 Type III, class 4 pads. The felt shall be a blend of cotton, wool, and rayon weighing 2.1 to 2.4 ounces per square yard, shall be white, and shall have a uniform thickness of 0.02 f 0.003 inch. The wool content shall be a minimum of 30 percent dry weight. 3.2.4
25、Batting. The batting shall meet the following requirements when tested as specified in 4.2.1.1. 3.2.4.1 Type I, classes 2 and 3, and type III, class 3 pads. The batting shall be pure India cotton, thoroughly cleaned, free from pills and neps. 3.2.4.2 Type II pads. The batting shall be a commercial b
26、atting made of harsh fibered cotton with a minimum staple length of 1/2 inch, weighing approximately 14 ounces per square yard. 3.2.4.3 Type III, class 1 pads. The batting shall be made of garnetted fiber, containing not less than 90 percent wool dry weight. 3.2.5 Interlining. 3.2.5.1 Type I, class
27、1 pads. The interlining material shall be cotton warp and spun hair-wool filling conforming to type I of ML-C-297. 3.2.5.2 Type I, classes 2 and 3, type III, class 3 pads.
