This standard established the general design principles and specific design safetycriteria applicable to hand-emplaced ordnance (HEO) throughout its life cycle. Ita
5、ddresses the unique attributes of hand-emplaced ordnance: safety of manual operationscoupled with the need for very high functional reliability.4. The requirements of MIL-STD-1316, “Fuze Design, Safety Criteria For,” areapplicable to ordnance that is NOT hand-emplaced. When feasible, HEO system andm
6、unition designers are encouraged to use ordnance designs whose safety systemsconform to the requirements of MIL-STD-1316.5. The tests of MIL-STD-331, “Fuze and Fuze Components, Environmental andPerformance Test For,” should prove useful in evaluating the design safety of hand-emplaced ordnance. The
