REQUIREMENTS3.1 Fabrication.- The telescope shall be manufactured in accordancewi
7、th all drawings applicable to the telescope specified in the contract ororder and drawings pertaining thereto.3.2 General specifications.- The contractor shall be responsible foradherence to, and compliance with, the following requirements of Specifica-tions MIL-O-13830 and MIL-F-13926.3.2.1 MIL-O-1
8、3830.(a) Illuminated reticle3.2.2 MIL-F-13926.(a) Order of precedence3.3(b) Dimensions and tolerances(c) Inorganic protective surface finishes(d) Electrical and electronic assemblies(e) Part identification and marking(f) WorkmanshipEnvironmental.3.3.1 Storage temperature.- The telescope shall show n
9、o evidence ofphysical failure and shall meet all performance requirements of this speci-fication at a standard ambient temperature of 60 to 90 Fahrenheit (F)after having been exposed to, and thermally stabilized at, ambient tempera-tures of -80 and +160F.3.3.2 Operating temperatures.- The telescope
10、shall meet the applic-able requirements of 3.9 while exposed to and thermally stabilized atambient temperatures of -40 and +150F.3.3.3 Vibration.- The telescope shall be vibrated at a frequency of30 cycles per second with an amplitude of 1/16 inch (1/8 inch total ex-cursion) for a period of 5 minute
11、s 15 seconds. 12、e shall meet the cleanliness require-ments of Specification MIL-O-13830. There shall be no more than 2 particlesof dirt visible in the center zone,(.614 inch diameter) of the reticle,and the area of each particle shall not be in excess of the area equivalentto a size 10 dig. There shall be no more t
13、han 5 particles of dirt visiblein the outer zone of the reticle, and the area of each particle shall notbe in excess of the area equivalent to a size 20 dig.3.5 Sealing.- The telescope shall show no evidence of leakage whensubjected to an internal pressure of dry nitrogen at 5 pounds per squareinch
14、gage (psig) for a minimum period of 5 minutes. The interior atmos-phere of the accepted telescope shall contain nitrogen having a dew pointat least as low as -25F. The internal pressure of the accepted telescopeshall be between 0.1 to 0.25 psig.3.6 Orientation.- The telescope shall meet the requirem
15、ents of 3.7with the kingpin holes vertical, the level vial bubble centered, themechanical cant index line indicating zero, and the eyepiece arm horizontal.3.7 Accuracy.3.7.1 Collimation.- The line of sight through the boresight point ofthe reticle shall be 20 mils 1.0 mil above the geometric axis an
16、d within1.0 mil of a plumb line passing through the geometric axis.3.7.2 Repeatability.- The line of sight through the boresight pointof the alternate reticle shall coincide with an established line of sightthrough the boresight point of the primary reticle within 0.1 mil.3.7.3 Parallelism of reticl
17、e and image.- The horizontal reticle linenearest the geometric axis of each reticle shall be parallel to a horizontaltarget line within thirty minutes of arc.3.7.4 Reticle accuracy,- The angular value between the zero rangemark and the maximum range mark (in the finished telescope) shall be asindica
18、ted on the reticle-drawing within 0.25 mil.3.7.5 Boresight error due to reticle rotation.- With the verticalline of the reticle in coincidence with a plumb line, the line of sightestablished at the boresight point shall not deviate more than 0.25 milwhen the reticle line is canted 5 degrees to the l
19、eft and 5 degrees to theright of the plumb lien by means of the cant correction knob.3.7.6 Eyepiece focus.- The eyepiece focus shall be fixed between thelimits of -0.75 and -1.0 diopter.3.7.7 Resolution.- The resolution at the optical axis shall be 12seconds of arc or less.3.7.8 Parallax.- Parallax

21、h 18 VDC and then 28 VDC, shall provide sufficient illumina-tion at each voltage for the level vial markings to be clearly definedwhen observed in a darkened area.3.8.2 Reticle.- The lamp for reticle illumination, when energizedwith 18 VDC and then 28 VDC, shall provide sufficient illumination ateac
22、h voltage for the reticle markings to be clearly defined when observedin a darkened area. Rotation of the rheostat knob shall cause a changein illumination of the reticle only.3.9 Operability. - The torque required to operate the followingcontrols shall be within the values specified when the contro
23、ls are ro-tated at a standard ambient temperature of 60 to 90F. The torquevalues obtained when the telescope is exposed to the extreme temperaturesof 3.3.2 shall not exceed the values obtained at standard ambient tem-perature by more than 100 percent.3.9.1 Cant correction knob.- With the level vial
24、bubble centeredand the kingpin holes and eyepiece arm vertical, the running torquerequired to rotate the cant correction knob shall be 7 inch-pounds 1.0inch-pound.3.9.2 Reticle shift lever.- The running torque required to rotatethe reticle shift lever shall be 3 inch-pounds 1.0 inch-pound.3.9.3 Mirr
25、or, plunger, arm and rheostat.- The level vial mirror,plunger knob on the reticle shift lever, eyepiece arm and the rheostatknob shall be mechanically operable when exposed to the extreme temperat-ures of 3.3.2.3.10 Insulation resistance.- Insulation resistance shall not beless than 10 megohms with
26、a potential of 100 volts direct current applied.4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified inthe contract or purchasr order,the supplier is responsible for the per-formance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except asotherwise speci
27、fied, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or anyother facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection require-ments specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. TheGovernment reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forthin the specification where such in
28、spections are deemed necessary to assuresupplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.4.1.1 General Provisions.- The component and subassembly inspec-tion requirements of MIL-F-13926 form a part of the Quality Assurance Pro-visions of this specification. Definitions of inspection terms sh

30、article testing shall be as specified in the contract.The sample for first article approval tests shall consist of 3 ElbowTelescopes plus three (3) each of all items covered by SQAP. The sampleshall be manufactured in the same manner, using the same materials,equipment, processes, and procedures as
31、used in regular production. Allparts and materialsincluding packaging and packing, shall be obtainedfrom the same source of supply as used in regular production.4.2.1 Government Testing.- When the Government is responsible forconducting first article approval tests, the contractor, prior to sub-mitt
32、ing the sample to the Government, shall inspect the sample to insurethat it conforms to all the requirements of the contract and submit arecord of this inspection with the sample, including certificates of con-formance for materials.4.2.2 Contractor Testing.- When the contractor is responsible forco
33、nducting first article approval tests, the sample shall be inspectedby the contractor for all the requirements of the contract. The sampleand a record of this inspection, including certificates of conformancefor materials, shall be submitted to the Government for approval. TheGovernment reserves the
34、 right to witness the contractors inspection.4.3 Inspection provisions.4.3.1 Submission of Product.- Unless otherwise specified by thecontracting officer, inspection lot size, lot formation and presentationof lots shall be in accordance with “Submission of Product” provisions ofMIL-STD-105.4.3.2 Exa
35、mination and tests.4.3.2.1 Components and subassemblies.- All components and subassem-blies shall be inspected in accordance with the inspection provisions con-tained in Supplementary Quality Assurance Provisions (SQAP) listed in theList of Inspection Documents (IEL), when provided with the technica
36、l datapackage (TDP). In the absence of SQAPS, the applicable Quality AssuranceProvisions of MIL-F-13926 shall apply.4.3.2.2 Final acceptance inspection.- Subsequent to first articleapproval, examination and tests related to Section 3 herein shall beperformed on a single defect (individual characteri
37、stic) basis in accord-ance with MIL-STD-105 and the sampling plans specified in Table I herein.Examination and tests for Packaging, Packing and Marking shall be inaccordance with MIL-P-14232 and Section 5 herein. The tabulated classifi-cation of defects in Table I shall constitute the minimum inspec

47、 thecontract, the contractor shall supply and maintain inspection equipmentin accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-I-45607.4.5.1 Government furnished inspection equipment.- Where the contractprovided for Government furnished test equipment, supply and maintenanceof test equipment shall
48、 be in accordance with the applicable requirementsspecified in MIL-I-45607.4.5.2 Contractor furnished inspection equipment.4.5.2.1 Government design.- Unless otherwise specified in the con-tract, all inspection equipment specified by drawing number in specifica-tion or SQAP forming a part of the con
49、tract shall be supplied by the con-tractor in accordance with technical data listed in the List of InspectionDocuments when provided with the Technical Data Package (TDP).4.5.2.2 Contractor design.- The contractor shall design and supplyinspection equipment compatible with the “Test Methods and Procedures“specified in 4.6 of this specification and with the component inspectionprocedures
