The Test Set, Radar AN/TPM-25A consists of a Test Set, TS-3394/TPM-25A with a removable cover and associated cable assemblies , accessory attenuators, connector adaptors , terminations , Video Probe , and Con
15、versi on Chart. and measurement capabil i ties required for shop maintenance of IFF interrogators. The test set checks operational characteristics, such as receiver bandpass characteristics and sensitivity, decoding and coding of all modes , Transmitter output power and frequency, and receiver sidel
16、obe suppression. The TS-3394/TPM-25A operates from an external 115 VAC power source. The TS-3394/TPM-25A provides stimul i 3.2 FIRST ARTICLE. Specified in the contract, the contractor shall furnish first article units (See 4.3). 3.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. The AN/TPM-25A shall be in accordance with MI
17、L-T-21200, Class 3, unless otherwise specified herein (See 4.4). 3.4 PARTS, MATERIALS AND PROCESSES. In addition to the requirements of this specification, the requirements of MIL-P-11268, including the selection require- ments therein, shall apply (See 4.4). 3.4.1 GENERAL. a. When non-pressurized c
18、astings are used, the requirement for impregnation as stated in MIL-STD-276 shall not apply. b. is used for conformal coating, the third and fourth sentences of paragraph 3.10.31.1.1 shall not apply. When a soft pliable coating (polyurethane) per MIL-1-46058 c. When anti -sieze compounds may affect
19、RF grounding, the requirement for their use shall not apply. 3.5 FINISH, PROTECTIVE. The AN/TPM-25A shall be given protective finish This includes primer and finish in accordance with Specification MIL-F-14072. of hardware, such as handles, hinges, screws, etc., and necessary touch up after mounting
20、. light-gray enamel, conforming to Specification MIL-F-14072 (See 4.4) The final paint film on Type I surfaces shall be final Film E, semigloss, 3.6 MARKING. 3.6.1 GENERAL. Marking shall conform to Specification MIL-M-13231. Front panel marking chal 1 be Group I , as descri bed in that specification
21、 (See 4.4). 3.6.2. VISIBILITY. their identification markings will be readily visible with minimum disassembly of the equipment (See 4.4). Handles shall be provided on the front of the TS-3394/TPM-25A hereafter kn

The outer edae of the handles shall extend at least the distance of the controls, indicator or electrical connector indicator or electrical connector that has the greatest protrusion from the front panel (See 4.6). from a 115 VAC, +lo%, 60/400 Hz power source in accordance with
24、 MIL-T-21200, except the low frequency limit for the power source shall be 45 Hz (See 4.7). I 3.8 INPUT POWER SOURCE. The equipment shall be capable of operating 3.8.1 POWER SWITCH. A two position toggle switch, identified as “Power, ON-OFF“, shall permit the equipment to be energized by the 115 VAC

Electrical overload protection shall be in accordance with Requirment 8 of MIL-STD-454. indicating type and shall be in accordance with Requirement 39 of MIL-STD-454. with lens, shall be provided on the front panel of the equipment, to indic
26、ate the application of the 115 VAC power source. in color (See 4.7.2). equipment printed circuit cards and shall be keyed to prevent improper insertion of itself or the circuit cards. The extender card shall be stored within the AN/TPM-25A in a location satisfactory to the Government (See 4.8). Fuse

The volume of the equipment, including the instrum
33、ent case with cover, shall not exceed 2.7 cubic feet. The form factor shall be such that the front panel dimensions shall not exceed 15 inches by 19 inches (See 4.11). 3.13 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY. Government furni shed property wi 11 be furnished to the contractor as specified in the contract
34、. r 3.14 COMPATIBILITY. (See 4.12). 3.14.1 IFF SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY. The equipment shall be compatible with the IFF Mark X(SIF)/Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System SIF/ATCRBS, in accordance with U.S. National Aviation Standard 1010.51A and shall be compatible with the characteristics of Specific
35、ation DOD-AIMS 65-1000 (See 4.12). 3.14.2 EQUIPMENT COMPATIB with the Test Set, Test Facilit AN/USM-281 , or equivalent, shal Interrogator Sets AN/TPX-46 and (See 4.12). 3.14.3 CHASSIS GROUND. The equipment warm-up time shall not exceed ten minutes when operating at room ambient and at extreme operating temperature conditions (See 4.14). 3.18 SERVICE CONDITIONS. The equipment shall conform to the requirements of this specification for the following serv

The equipment shall meet the specifi

The time duration of high temperature storage at 85 C shall be 48 hours (See 4.15.1.1). 3.18.1.2 LOW TEMPERATURE. The equipment shall meetOthe specified performance requirements of Table IV after storage at -62
41、C and when operated at O C, The time duration of low temperature storage at -62 C shall be 4 hours (See 4.15.1.2). R 3.18.2 ALTITUDE. The equipment shall meet the specified performance requirements of Table IV when operating up to 10,000 feet above sea level and withstand, in an non-operation condit
42、ion, exposure up to 50,000 feet above sea level (See 4.15.2). 3.18.3 HUMIDITY. The equipment shall withstand the effect of humidities up to 100 percent, including conditions wherein condensation takes place in and on the equipment. The equipment shall withstand the above conditions during operating

Four front panel switches shall select the period of the equipments PRF for internal trigger operation from 500 USEC to 9,999 USEC in one nii crosecond steps (See 4.16.1 ) 3.19.1.1.1 ACCURACY. The PRF period shall be within 50.2 USEC or 50.01% of the indicated setti
49、ng, whichever tolerance is greater (See 4.16.1.1). 3.19.1.1.2 JITTER. The period-to-period jitter shall not exceed - +0.06 USEC (See 4m. 3.19.1.2 EXTERNAL TRIGGERED PRF. The equipments PRF for external trigger operation shall be controled by an external trigger having the following characteristics when terminated in 75 ohms ?lo% (See 4.16.2): a.
