5、ls and methods. - The materials, methods and procedures used in the packaging of items shall be in accordance with this specification. Materiale and methods not covered by a specification shall be suited to the intended uee and subject to the approval af the cmtracting officer. Unless Provided by IH

7、 tainers shall be of a minimum size to adeauatelv contain the items. 3.3.1 LevelA 3.3.1 e 1 Cleaning. - The exterior surfaces shall be cleaned 80 as to be free from dirt, smudges, fingerprints and other foreign substance6 in accerd- ance with method C-1 of Specification MIL-P-116. I 3.3.1.2 Drying.
8、- Immediately after cleaning, items shall be dried thoroughly in accordance with any procedure specified in Specification MIL- I P-116 that will not damage the items. 1 Specification MIL-P-116 as described herein QF method U using a spirally wound fiber tube container . 11、required units of disiccant conforming to I Snecification MLL-D-3444 shall be secured to the cushioned watch with ree- sure sensitive tape conforming to the tape specified in 3.3. l. 3. l. 16、ms with gummed tape conforming to class I of Specification UU-T-111. 3.3.1.3.6 Spirally wound fiber container. - A spirally wound fiber containe conforming to type J., grade B, style a, class I of Specification MIL-C-3955 can be used in lieu of the water-vaporproof bag and Set-up paperboard box spec
17、ified in 3.3.1.3.3 and 3.3.1.3.5. watch shall be cushioned as specified in 3.3.1.3.1 and the required units of desiccant to be immobilized in the container with the cushioned watch shall be as specified in 3.3.1 3.2, When a rubber shock absorber and leather chain ac campany a watch, the shijck absor
18、ber and chain shall be bagged as specified in 3.3.1.3.4 and the bag shall then be imrnDbilized in the container with the cush- ioned watch and desiccant.
