Deconstruction minimizes demolition landfill materials and reduces material costs for the converted facili
35、ty. Diverting demolition waste from the landfill contributes to the following LEED credit: MR2. 41、r prior to work beginning.1.2.2 General RequirementsDo not begin demolition or deconstruction until authorization is received from the Contracting Officer. The work of this section is to be performed in a manner that maximizes salvage and recycling of materials. Remove rubbish and debris from the st
42、ation daily project site; do not allow accumulations inside or outside the buildings on airfield pavements. The work includes demolition, deconstruction, salvage of identified items and materials, and removal of resulting rubbish and debris. Remove rubbish and debris from Government property daily,
43、unless otherwise directed. Store materials that cannot be removed daily in areas specified by the Contracting Officer. In the interest of occupational safety and health, perform the work in accordance with EM 385-1-1, Section 23, Demolition, and other applicable Sections.1.3 ITEMS TO REMAIN IN PLACE
44、Take necessary precautions to avoid damage to existing items to remain in place, to be reused, or to remain the property of the Government.
