The product standard of the

14、blication of this standard prN 4054: 1998 4 Quality assurance 4.1 Qualification EN 3042 Qualification, inspections and tests shall be carried out on five seals of each size, except for opposed indication specified in table I. The test programme may possibly be reduced. Any such decision shall be bas
15、ed on the results obtained on similar types of seals provided that the design and manufacturing conditions are identical. 4.2 Acceptance The purpose of acceptance tests is to check, as simply as possible, by a method representative of actual use conditions that the seals constituting the production
16、batch satisfy the requirements of this standard. 4.2.1 Conditions Acceptance tests are specified in table 1. They shall be carried out on each production batch. Table 1 specifies the test method and the sampling plan applicable to each test. Seals from the production batch to be tested shall be sele
17、cted by simple random sampling. Each seal may be submitted to several tests. The seals to be subjected to destructive tests may be those on which nondestructive tests have been carried out. 4.2.2 Responsibility Acceptance inspections and tests shall be carried out by the manufacturer, or under his r
18、esponsibility. 4.2.3 Inspection and test report The manufacturer must ensure conformity of products according to the results obtained in relation to the requirements and carry out an inspections and test report giving the observed values. This report shall be provided to the purchaser. 5 See table 1

Other sampling plans specified in IS0 2859-1 may be used (double or multiple sampling), but these shall be chosen in such a wa

Seals shall be packed indiv
29、idually in watertight, opaque cases and shall be water vapour-, ozone-, oil- and greaseproof. This packaging shall be resistant enough to prevent the seals against any damage occurring in the course of handling and transportation. 6.2 Individual package 6.2.1 Material The following materials shall b
30、e used: - opaque polyethylene coated kraft paper; - laminate consisting of aluminium, paper and polyethylene; - opaque polyethylene film. The use of polyvinyl chloride film (PVC film) is not permissible. Transparent or translucent materials shall not be used. 6.2.2 Dimensions Depending on the size o
31、f the seals, use a large enough individual package without this, however, being larger than necessary. 6.3 Collective packaging Items, in their individual package, may be combined in collective packages. This package shall: - be resistant enough so that the items: - cannot be damaged in the course o
32、f handling or transportation, - be protected against any damage due to exposure to environmental effects or any other normal hazard; - bear a label legible from outside; - contain seals with the same definition. Page 8 prEN 4054: 1998 7 Marking 7.1 Individual package Each individual packet shall be
33、legibly marked with not less than the following information: - manufacturers identification; - identity according to the product standard; - batch number; - quarter and year of vulcanization of the rubber part in bilingual (e.g. 3Q93 / 3T93); - UNLIMITED SHELF LIFE / SANS LIMITATION DE VIE; - mark (
34、manufacturers monogram) or inspection stamp guaranteeing the products quality (packaging included); 7.2 Collective packaging The following information shall be marked on the collective packaging: - manufacturers identification; - identity according to the product standard; - order number; - quantity
35、. 8 Storage See EN 2751. The duration of storage is unlimited for these items. Annex B ( n o r m a t ive) Inspection after assembly Record the seating strength required to achieve a metal / metal contact. The torque to be applied to achieve a metal / metal contact shall be compatible with a bolt
37、and a standard seating torque for the seal assembly in the use condition. Page 10 prEN 4054: 1998 Annex C (normative) Ageing and pressurizing tests The ageing tests shall be carried out at 150 OC at atmospheric pressure and coupled with pressurizing at ambient temperature (e 20 OC). C.l Conditions T
38、he tested seals shall be put in assemblies representative of the flanged condition. The assemblies shall be put in a heated air oven at 150 OC, then removed from the oven after ageing for one day, two days, four days, eight days then every eight days until they leak or until pressure falls. The asse
39、mblies (not dismantled) shall be submitted to a pressurizing test with air at ambient temperature between each time. 40、er pressure; bleed the system; repeat operations 3 and 4; connect the system to the pressure measurer; calibrate the measurer; connect the measurer to the recorder; program the recorder; test the assembly under pressures of 1 MPa, 2 MPa, 4 MPa, 6 MPa, 8 MPa, 10 MPa, 12 MPa, 14 MPa and 15 MPa with a
41、stage of five minutes per pressure level. The ageing and pressurizing tests are considered finished if a leak or a fall in pressure is observed. The requirement is holding a minimum pressure of 10 MPa after 48 days of ageing, these 48 days of ageing being an accumulation of heating times as previous
42、ly described. After tests and removal of the seal, carry out a visual examination of the assembly. Use a lotimes magnification for the rubber part. The possible damage observed shall be such that the functioning of the seal shall be guaranteed. Specify the values obtained in the inspection and test

Carry out the test as defined in IS0 1817 or EN 2798 for the oil (liquid 101) and fuel (liquid B) exposure co
44、nditions. To ensure the seal is not bent: - remove the seal; - leave the rubber parts to rest from 1 h to 1 h 15 min; - record distortion values. These values are to be analysed to: - compare with the volume variation values authorized by EN 2798; - determine the creep values when creep is observed. Carry out a visual examination on the armature in contact with the rubber parts to look for any possible looseness.
