5、untary consensus standard developed under the auspices of ASHRAE.Consensus is defined by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), of which ASHRAE is a member and which has approved thisstandard as an ANS, as “substantial agreement reached by directly and materially affected interest categor

6、ies. This signifies the concurrenceof more than a simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. 21、 that change the pressure rela-tionship between positive and negative. This requirement waspreviously only applicable to AII Rooms.Note: In this addendum, changes to the current standardare indicated in the text by underlining (for additions) andstrikethrough (for deletions) unless the instructions

22、specifi-cally mention some other means of indicating the changes.7.1 General Requirements. The following general require-ments shall apply for space ventilation:a. Spaces shall be ventilated according to Table 7.1.3. For design purposes, the minimum number of total airchanges indicated shall be eith

23、er supplied for positivepressure rooms or exhausted for negative pressurerooms. Spaces that are required in Table 7.1 to be at anegative pressure relationship and are not required tobe exhausted shall utilize the supply airflow rate tocompute the minimum total air changes per hourrequired. For space

24、s that require a positive or negativepressure relationship, the number of air changes canbe reduced when the space is unoccupied, providedthat the required pressure relationship to adjoiningspaces is maintained while the space is unoccupiedand that the minimum number of air changes indicatedis re-es

25、tablished anytime the space becomes occupied.Controls intended to switch the required pressure rela-tionships between spaces from positive to negative,and vice versa, shall not be permitted. Air change ratesin excess of the minimum values are expected in somecases in order to maintain room temperatu

26、re andhumidity conditions based upon the space cooling orheating load.Addendum e to Standard 170-2013Relocate the prohibition against switching pressure rela-tionships for AII Rooms from footnote u of Table 7.1 to ageneral requirement in Section 7.1(a)(3) as shown. 35、utdoor environment. ASHRAEsmembers will strive to minimize any possible deleterious effect on the indoor and outdoor environment of the systems andcomponents in their responsibility while maximizing the beneficial effects these systems provide, consistent with acceptedstandards and the practical sta

36、te of the art.ASHRAEs short-range goal is to ensure that the systems and components within its scope do not impact the indoor andoutdoor environment to a greater extent than specified by the standards and guidelines as established by itself and otherresponsible bodies.As an ongoing goal, ASHRAE will

37、, through its Standards Committee and extensive technical committee structure,continue to generate up-to-date standards and guidelines where appropriate and adopt, recommend, and promote those newand revised standards developed by other responsible organizations.Through its Handbook, appropriate cha

38、pters will contain up-to-date standards and design considerations as the material issystematically revised.ASHRAE will take the lead with respect to dissemination of environmental information of its primary interest and will seekout and disseminate information from other responsible organizations th

39、at is pertinent, as guides to updating standards andguidelines.The effects of the design and selection of equipment and systems will be considered within the scope of the systemsintended use and expected misuse. The disposal of hazardous materials, if any, will also be considered.ASHRAEs primary con

40、cern for environmental impact will be at the site where equipment within ASHRAEs scopeoperates. However, energy source selection and the possible environmental impact due to the energy source and energytransportation will be considered where possible.
