、Designation: A1075 12Standard Specification forFlanged Steel U-Channel Posts1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A1075; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parenthe

、ses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers flanged U-channel carbon steelposts having a nominal weight ranging from 0.75 to 6.0 lb/ftand a nominal width ranging from 1.25

、 to 4.0 in. These postsare furnished in the as-wrought condition intended for appli-cations requiring high tensile strength or crashworthiness andwith a lower carbon (LC) designation for use where higherductility or improved weldability are required. These materialsare available in multiple yield st

、rength levels of 50, 60, 70, and80 ksi (345, 420, 485, and 550 MPa). The 50- and 60-ksi (345-and 420-MPa) yield strength grades are available as lowercarbon posts, designated as Grades 50LC or 60LC.NOTE 1This specification does not cover high-strength low-alloy(HSLA) post. Refer to Specification A57

、2/A572M for HSLA. Forstructural Grade 36, refer to Specification A36/A36M.1.2 UnitsThe values stated in inch-pound units are to beregarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses aremathematical conversions to SI units that are provided forinformation only and are not considered standard.1.

、3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. Referenced Doc
