Scope1.1 This specification covers structural quality carbon-manganese-silicon steel plates in three tensile st

3、rength rangesintended primarily for service at atmospheric temperatureswhere improved notch toughness is important.1.2 Plates covered by this specification are limited to amaximum thickness of 1.5 in. 40 mm.1.3 If the steel is to be welded, it is presupposed that awelding procedure suitable for the

4、grade of steel and intendeduse or service will be utilized. See Appendix X3 of Specifica-tion A6/A6M for information on weldability.1.4 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, theSI units are shown in brackets. The values st

Chemical Composition5.1 The heat analysis shall conform to the requirementsgiven in Table 1.5.2 The product analysis shall conform to the requirementsgiven in Table 1 subject to the product analysis tolerances inSpecification A6/A6M.6.
