、Designation: A 693 06Standard Specification forPrecipitation-Hardening Stainless and Heat-Resisting SteelPlate, Sheet, and Strip1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A 693; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revis
、ion, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope*1.1 This specification
、2covers precipitation-hardening stain-less steel plate, sheet, and strip. The mechanical properties ofthese steels are developed by suitable low-temperature heattreatments generally referred to as precipitation hardening.1.2 These steels are used for parts requiring corrosionresistance and high stre
、ngth at room temperature or at tem-peratures up to 600F (315C). Some of these steels areparticularly suitable for moderate to severe drawing andforming in the solution-treated condition. Others are capable ofmild forming only. They are suitable for machining in thesolution-annealed condition, after
、which they may be hardenedto the mechanical properties specified in this standard withoutdanger of cracking or distortion.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard.2.
