Scope*1.1 This specification2 covers aluminu

3、m-alloy permanent mold castings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy permanent mold castings used in general purpose applications. It may not addressthe mechanical properties, integrity testing, and verification required for highly loaded or safety critical app

4、lications.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance with ANSI H35.1/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numbering systemalloy designations are in accordance with Practice E527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specification designation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound u

5、nits.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminum and aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification, seeAnnex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values statedin each system may not

6、 be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining valuesfrom the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibi
