Chemical Composition5.1 The material shall conform to the composition limitsspecified in Table 1.5.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the product (check)analysis variations in Specification B880.6. Heat Treatment6.1 Heat treatment of

22、N06674 after cold-working or hot-working shall be solution annealing by heating to 2150F(1175C) minimum, followed by quenching in water or rapidlycooling by other means.7. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements7.1 Tensile TestThe material shall conform to the tensileproperties specified in Tab

23、le 2.7.1.1 Tensile properties for material specified as small-diameter and light-wall tube (converter sizes) shall be asprescribed in Table X1.1.7.2 Hydrostatic or Nondestructive Electric TestEach pipeor tube shall be subjected to either the hydrostatic test or thenondestructive electric test. The t

24、ype of test to be used shall beat the option of the manufacturer, unless otherwise specified inthe purchase order.7.3 Grain Size:7.3.1 Grain size for N06674 shall be 7 or coarser, asdetermined in accordance with Test Methods E112.8. Dimensions and Permissible Variations8.1 Diameter, Wall Thickness,

25、and LengthThe permissiblevariations in the outside diameter and wall thickness shallconform to the permissible variations prescribed in the Permis-sible Variations for Outside Diameter and Wall Thickness ofSeamless Cold-Worked Pipe and Tube, Permissible Variationsfor Outside Diameter and Wall Thickn

26、ess of Hot-FinishedTube, and Permissible Variations for Outside Diameter andWall Thickness of Seamless Hot-Worked Pipe tables in Speci-fication B829. The permissible variations in the length shallconform to the permissible variations prescribed in the Permis-sible Variations in Length table in Speci

27、fication B829.8.2 Permissible variations for material specified as small-diameter and light-wall tube (converter size) shall conform tothe permissible variations prescribed in Table X1.2.9. Workmanship, Finish and Appearance9.1 The material shall be uniform in quality and temper,smooth, commercially

28、 straight, and free of injurious imperfec-tions.10. Sampling10.1 Lot Definition:10.1.1 A lot for chemical analysis shall consist of one heat.10.1.2 A lot for all other testing shall consist of all materialfrom the same heat, nominal size (excepting length), andcondition.10.1.2.1 Where material canno

29、t be identified by heat, a lotshall consist of not more than 500 lb (227 kg) of material in thesame condition and nominal size (excepting length).10.2 Test Material Selection:10.2.1 Chemical AnalysisRepresentative samples fromeach lot shall be taken during pouring or subsequent process-ing.10.2.1.1

30、Product (check) analysis shall be wholly the re-sponsibility of the purchaser.10.2.2 Mechanical and Other PropertiesSamples of thematerial to provide test specimens for mechanical and otherproperties shall be taken from such locations in each lot as tobe representative of that lot. Test specimens sh

31、all be taken frommaterial in the final condition.11.
