Scope*1.1 This specification2covers rolled

3、or cold-finished bar,rod, and wire in alloys (Note 1) and tempers as shown in Table2.NOTE 1Throughout this specification use of the term alloy in thegeneral sense includes aluminum as well as aluminum alloy.NOTE 2The term cold finished is used to indicate the type of surfacefinish, sharpness of angl

31、um Alloys), the composition limits registered with The Aluminum Association and published in the “TealSheets” shall be considered the controlling composition.EOthers includes listed elements for which no specific limit is shown as well as unlisted metallic elements. The producer may analyze samples

32、for trace elements notspecified in the specification. However, such analysis is not required and may not cover all metallic Others elements. Should any analysis by the producer or the purchaserestablish that an Others element exceeds the limit of Each or that the aggregate of several Others elements

33、 exceeds the limit of Total, the material shall be considerednon-conforming.FOther elementsTotal shall be the sum of unspecified metallic elements 0.010 % or more each, rounded to the second decimal before determining the sum.GThe aluminum content is the difference between 100.00 % and the sum of al
