The general requirements for pipe and tube are coveredby Specification B829.1.1.1 UNS N06625 products are furnished in two grades ofdifferent heat-treated conditions:1.1.1.1 Grade 1 (annealed)Material is normally employedin service temperatures up to 1100F (593C).1.1.1.2 Grade 2 (solution anneal

5、ed)Material is normallyemployed in service temperatures above 1100F (593C) whenresistance to creep and rupture is required.NOTE 1Hot-working or reannealing may change propertiessignificantly, depending on working history and temperatures.1.1.2 Alloys UNS N06219 and UNS N06852 are supplied inthe solu

One test is required for each lot as definedin Specification B829.5.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the p

20、roduct (check)analysis variations in Table 2 of Specification B829.6. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements6.1 Tension TestThe material shall conform to the tensileproperties specified in Table 1. The sampling and specimenpreparation are as covered in Specification B829.6.2 Hydrostatic or Non

21、destructive Electric TestEach pipeor tube shall be subjected to either the hydrostatic test or to thenondestructive electric test. The type of test to be used shall beat the option of the manufacturer, unless otherwise specified inthe purchase order.7. Dimensions and Permissible Variations7.1 Permis

22、sible variations for material specified as small-diameter and light-wall tube (converter size) shall conform tothe permissible variations prescribed in Table X1.1 and TableX1.2.8. The purchaser may specify a different frequency o

32、f test or analysis than is providedin the supplementary requirement. Subject to agreement between the purchaser and manufacturer,retest and retreatment provisions of these supplementary requirements may also be modified.S1. Grain Size TestS1.1 Grain SizeGrain size determinations shall be made inacco

33、rdance with Test Methods E112 using an intercept proce-dure or using a procedure agreed upon by purchaser and seller.Alloys UNS N06625; UNS N06852; UNS N06219 shall be 5.0or finer average Grain size. Grain size determinations shall bemade on each heat treatment lot. In the event of a dispute orquest

34、ion an E112 intercept procedure or test method must beused.S.2 Intergranular Corrosion TestS2.1 Intergranular Corrosion DeterminationsSusceptibility to Intergranular Corrosion shall be tested inaccordance with Test Methods G28 Method A with an accep-tance criteria of a maximum corrosion rate of 0.00

35、3 ipm(0.914 mmyr.).S3. Pitting and Crevice Corrosion TestS3.1 Susceptibility to pitting corrosion shall be tested inaccordance with Test Methods G48 Method C. The testtemperature shall be 75C (167F) 6 1C and the exposuretime 72 h. The acceptance criteria shall be no visible pittinggreater than 0.001

36、-in. (.025-mm) depth at 20 magnificationand a weight loss less than 1.0 g/m2(1.422 10-6 lb/in2). Endgrain or edge grain attacks invalidate the tests. In the event thetest is invalidated, a retest of the material may be made withoutpenalty. If the material is invalidated by the retest, then themateri

37、al is deemed unacceptable and may no longer be tested,and a new material test shall be made from a different heattreatment lot.APPENDIXES(Nonmandatory Information)X1. CONVERTER SIZESX1.1 Small-diameter and light-wall tube in outside diam-eters 114 in. (31.8 mm) and under may be furnished in a limite

38、drange of sizes and the manufacturer should be consulted as tothe various outside diameters and wall thicknesses that may befurnished. Material will have a bright finish. Such materialshall conform to the requirements in Tables X1.1 and X1.2.X2. CONDITIONS AND FINISHES NORMALLY SUPPLIEDX2.1 ScopeX2.

39、1.1 This appendix lists the conditions and finishes inwhich pipe and tube (other than converter sizes) are normallysupplied.
