45、 conductors is notaccepted, the random lengths of wire that result from normal productioncan result in otherwise good product being rejected and scrapped. In orderto reduce cost, the purchaser and manufacturer should, at the time ofpurchase, have an agreed upon method to permit the acceptance of odd

46、lengths of steel wire.Atypical agreement would be to permit lengths otherthan the specified length for up to 5 % of the purchased quantity with anysingle piece being not less than 50 % of the specified length.SUMMARY OF CHANGESCommittee B01 has identified the location of selected changes to this sta

(Approved Nov. 1, 2008.)(1) Section 3, Added “product code” definition.(2) Section 13, Simplified how diameter measurement is madeand recorded.(3) Metric tables, Separated metric units into stand alone tablesand modified d

If

49、 the tolerances shown in the table are rigidlyapplied to such irregularities that are inherent to the product, unjustifiedrejections of wire that would actually be satisfactory for use could occur. It is intended that these tolerances be used in gaging the wires where thereis a minimum of such diameter irregularities due to galvanizing.Specified Diameter Permissible Variation, in.in.
