Scope1.1 This specification covers UNS N08925, UNS N08354,and UNS N089262seamless, cold-worked or hot-finished pipe

3、and tube intended for general corrosive service.1.2 ASTM International has adopted definitions wherebysome grades, such as UNS N08904 previously in thisspecification, were recognized as stainless steels, because thosegrades have iron as the largest element by mass percent. Suchgrades are under the o

4、versight of ASTM Committee A01 andits subcommittees. The products of N08904 previously coveredin this specification are now covered by Specifications A269and A312/A312M.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversion

General Requirements4.1 Material furnished under this specification shall con-form to the requirements of Specification B829 unless other-wise provided herein. In the case of conflict, the requirements

10、of this specification shall take precedence.5. Ordering Information5.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are necessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such requirements include, but arenot limited to, the following:5.1.1 Alloy name or

11、 UNS number.5.1.2 ASTM designation and year of issue.5.1.3 Finish.5.1.4 Dimensions:5.1.4.1 TubeOutside diameter and the average or mini-mum wall thickness.5.1.4.2 PipeStandard pipe size and schedule.5.1.4.3 Length, (cut to length or random).5.1.5 Quantity (feet or number of pieces).5.1.6 Nondestruct

Materials and Manufacture6.1 The material shall be supplied in the solution-treatedcondition.NOTE 1The recommended heat treatment shall consist of heating to atemperature of 2010 to 2100F (1100 to 1150C) for UNS N08925 andUNS N08926, followed by quenching in water or rapid cool

18、ing by othermeans.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 1. One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B829.7.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to

19、 the product (check)analysis variations per Specification B829.8. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements8.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe mechanical properties prescribed in Table 2. One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B829.8.2 Nondestructive Te

20、sts: Each pipe and tube shall besubjected to either a hydrostatic test or a nondestructive electrictest as described in Specification B829. The purchaser mayspecify which test is to be used.8.2.1 Hydrostatic Test: The fiber stress for the purpose ofcalculating the hydrostatic test pressure shall be

21、20 000 psi(138 Mpa).9. Dimensions and Permissible Variations9.1 The permissible variations in dimensions set forth inSpecification B829 shall apply.10.
