1、Designation: C 1103M 03 (Reapproved 2009)Standard Practice forJoint Acceptance Testing of Installed Precast Concrete PipeSewer Lines (Metric)1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 1103M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in th

2、e case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice covers procedures for testing the joints ofinstalled precast concrete pi

3、pe sewer lines, when using eitherair or water under low pressure to demonstrate the integrity ofthe joint and the construction procedures. This practice is usedfor testing 675-mm and larger diameter precast concrete sewerlines utilizing rubber gasket sealed joints.NOTE 1The user of this test method

4、is advised that methods describedherein may also be used as a preliminary test to enable the manufactureror installer to demonstrate the condition of sewer pipe prior to delivery.1.2 This practice is the SI companion of Practice C 1103.NOTE 2The owner shall specify the following: who will conduct,ob

Pipe 600-mm diameterand smaller shall be accepted by infiltration or exfiltration testing utilizingPractice C 969M or by low pressure air testing utilizing Practice C 924M.Pipe greater than 600-mm diameter shall be accepted by infiltration orexfiltration testing utilizing C 969M.NOTE 4The

The line for pressurizing the voidvolume shall include a 42 kPa pressure relief device to reducehazards and avoid overpressurization.7. Preparation of th

This may be overcome by wetting the pipe.7.3 Review safety precautions in Section 6.8. Procedures8.1 The following procedures apply to testing with either airor water.8.1.1 D

Since water produces a pressure of 10 kPa for everymetre of depth,

23、test pressures must be increased to offset the depth ofgroundwater over the sewer line. If the groundwater level is 0.6 m or moreabove the top of the pipe at the upstream end or if the pressure requiredfor the test is greater than 34 kPa gage, the joint test method shall not beused and the infiltrat

By maintaining a constant supply of air or water in a reservoir, continuous pumping of air or water is not required, and any variances intest equipment and joint space will be negat
