Significance and Use3.1 Tensile loads determined by this test method are usefulfor quality control of GFRC architectural panels manufacturedusing t

In addition, testresults may be used to verify compliance with governingspecifications, research and development, and generating datafor use in product design.4. Apparatus4.1 Testing Machine, a properly calibrated testing machinethat can be operated at constant r
7、ates of crosshead motion andin which the error in the force measuring system shall notexceed 61.0 % of the maximum force expected to be mea-sured. Equip the testing machine with a deflection measuringand recording device. The stiffness of the testing machine shallbe such that the total elastic defor
8、mation of the system does notexceed 1.0 % of the total deflection of the test specimen duringthe test, or appropriate corrections shall be made. The force-indicating mechanism shall be essentially free of inertial lag atthe crosshead rate used. The accuracy of the testing machineshall be verified in
9、 accordance with Practices E4 and Specifi-cation D76.4.2 Loading FixtureThe load fixture for applying tensileload is shown schematically in Fig. 1. It consists of a12 in.(13-mm) thick steel base plate. A suitable mechanism for testfixtures is shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. The design of the loadingfixt
10、ure shall be such that the specimen is rigidly attached to thebase support. In particular, the section of the specimen adjacentto the flex anchor shall not be allowed to bend while the anchoris being pulled in tension, in order to avoid force eccentricity.4.3 Gripping Device, a suitable mechanical g
11、ripping deviceor jaws to grip the steel anchor. Use a universal joint betweenthe grip and crosshead of the testing machine to ensure theapplication of a tensile load for the duration of the test.5. Sampling5.1 The sampling method shall be in accordance withgoverning specifications.6. Test Specimen6.
12、1 Saw the test specimens from a test board panel preparedat the same time and in a manner identical to productionpanels. Saw the test specimens so they are nominally 12 in.square, the anchor is in the center, and the specimen edges area sufficient distance from the bonding pad to allow supportduring
13、 loading. Fig. 4 shows the test specimen.7. Conditioning7.1 Condition specimens under the same conditions asproduction panels prior to test.8. (5 mm)/min until failure.8.4 Failure is defined as the maximum load, or when thereis visible distress to the GFRC bonding p

(5 mm) or less) or for certain bonding padgeometries, local failure of the glass-fiber reinforced concretehas been observed at the anchor heel, even though the anchorcontinues to take additional load. In these instances there is ameasurable drop in load, observ
18、ed on the load deflection graph.8.5 Record the maximum force and corresponding displace-ment attained prior to failure of the bonding pad.8.6 Measure the dimensions of the bonding pad at twolocations 90 to each other, accurate to the nearest 0.1 in. (2.5mm).8.7 Measure the average thickness of bondi
19、ng pad over theanchor when wet with pin gauge or when dry with caliper.9.
