1、Designation: C 266 08Standard Test Method forTime of Setting of Hydraulic-Cement Paste by GillmoreNeedles1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 266; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last r

2、evision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This test method covers the determination of the time ofsetting of hydraulic-cement paste by means of the Gillmoreneedles.1

3、.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, assoc

The initial timeof setting is the time elapsed between initial contact of cementand water and the time when the Gill

Significance

12、and Use5.1 The purpose of this test method is to establish whethera cement complies with a specification limit on Gillmore timeof setting.6.
