14、ovide the breadth and balance of a good curriculum for all students. In addition, a standard curriculum is necessary for accurately measuring, comparing and rating academic performance. How can performance be fairly weighted and rated if each student is studying a different set of subjects? Moreover

15、, many colleges require that their students study and complete certain basic courses that are one level above the ones in the standard high school curriculum. If a student has skipped any one of these standard courses in high school, he will have a difficult time completing a more advanced course in
