1、Designation: D1579 01 (Reapproved 2013)Standard Test Method forFiller Content of Phenol, Resorcinol, and MelamineAdhesives1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D1579; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, t

2、he year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense. as part of Federal Test Method Standa

3、rd No.175a.1. Scope1.1 This test method is suitable for measuring the fillercontent of phenol, resorcinol, and melamine resin-base adhe-sives mixed with hardener or catalyst, that set at room, intermediate, and high temperatures. Results are expressed onthe basis of the nonvolatile content of the mix

Significance and Use4.1 It is possible to modify the properties of phenol, resorcinol, and melamine-based adhesives by adding fillers tothe adhesive and in doing so affect the way the adhesiveperforms. This t
