Break up any lumps with a spatula, cover the weighing dish and weigh the dish plus sample. Uncover the dis
5、h and heat at 68 $r 2 degrees C for 8 to 16 hours. Cool in desiccator containing drierite or an- hydrone and weigh. Calculate the percent moisture as follows:“ and substitute the following: “Transfer 2-6 grams of the sample to a tared weighing dish. Break up any lumps with a spatula, cover the weigh
6、ing dish and weigh the dish plus sample. Uncover the dish and heat at 68 - + 2 degrees C for a minimum of 4 1/2 hours. Cool in a desiccator containing a suitable desiccant (drierite, anhydrone, etc.) and weigh. Calculate the percent moisture as follows:“ PAGE 10 4.5.8 Sulfate: Delete “Transfer 5 gra
7、ms of the dried sample to a 250 ml. beaker“, and substitute the following: “If a dried sample is not available, transfer 6 to 8 grams of a wet sample to a porcelain dish, a watch glass, or a conductive container at least 5 cm in diameter. Break up any lumps with a conductive spatula. Heat uncovered
8、at 68 2 2 degrees C for a minimum of 4.5 hours. Cool for a minimum of 15 minutes in a desiccator.
