Thesematerials are intended for use in the fabrication of multiple plyroofing and waterproofing membranes and flashings.1.2 This sp

Terminology3.1 DefinitionsFor definitions of terms used in this speci-fication, refer to Terminology D 1079.4. Materials
9、 and Manufacture4.1 In the process of manufacture, the fiberglass reinforce-ment is impregnated and coated on both sides with a SBSmodified bituminous coating. The sheet is surfaced with acontinuous metal foil except for any selvage. The SBS modi-fied bituminous coating shall be permitted to be comp
10、oundedwith a mineral stabilizer.4.2 The metal surfacing shall be omitted on any selvage. Toprevent sticking in the roll, the reverse side and any selvageshall be permitted to be covered with a fine mineral surfacingor any other surfacing that will not interfere with adhesion orbonding of the lap dur

Physical Properties5.1 The sheet mate
14、rial shall conform to the physical prop-erties prescribed in Table 1.5.2 The finished product shall not crack nor be so sticky asto cause other material damage upon being unrolled at producttemperatures between 4 and 60C (40 and 140F).6. Dimensions, Mass, and Permissible Variations6.1 The width of t
15、he roll shall be as agreed between thepurchaser and the seller and shall not vary more than 61%.6.2 The area of the roll shall not be less than as agreed uponbetween the purchaser and seller.6.3 The selvage width shall be within 66.4 mm (14 in.) ofthe nominal value and shall not be less than 57 mm (
16、2.25 in.).7. Workmanship, Finish and Appearance7.1 The finished product shall be completely coated in acontinuous, unbroken film and shall be free of such defects asholes, ragged or untrue edges, breaks, cracks, tears, protru-sions, delaminations, and indentations.7.2 The metal surface shall be unif
17、orm in surface andtexture, that is, free from such defects as holes, breaks tears,protrusions, and indentations (except for intended factoryembossing pattern).7.3 The line of demarcation between the metal-surfacedportion of the weather side and any selvage shall be straightand parallel to the edge o
18、f the sheet.7.4 When unrolled on a smooth plane, the sheet shall be flat,straight, and true so the lap will mate with the adjacent sheetwithin the tolerance of the lap without wrinkles, buckles, orfishmouths.8. Sampling and Test Methods8.1 Sample the material and determine the properties de-scribed
19、in this specification in accordance with Test MethodD 5147 unless otherwise indicated.8.2 Cyclic Thermal ShockSample and test the material inaccordance with Test Method D 7051.9. Inspection9.1 InspectionInspection shall be in accordance with therequirements of this specification.9.2 Inspection Alter
20、nativesAlternative inspection require-ments shall be determined by and as agreed upon between thepurchaser and supplier.10. Rejection and Resubmittal10.1 Failure to ConformFailure to conform to any of therequirements as stated in this specification constitutes groundsfor rejection.10.2 Rejection Red
21、ressThe supplier shall have the right toinspect the rejected materials. The supplier and the purchasershall agree to the quantity of rolls deemed unacceptable. Thesupplier shall then have the right to submit the same number ofnew rolls as replacement.11. Packaging and Package Marking11.1 The finishe
22、d material shall be furnished as rolls. Therolls shall be securely wrapped to prevent shifting of materialand to permit normal handling. There shall be no manufactur-ing splices in the roll, and there shall be no more than twopieces.11.2 Unless otherwise agreed upon by the seller and pur-chaser, eac
23、h product package shall be plainly marked with thesuppliers name, the product brand, the ASTM designation, thenet coverage area, and the type bitumen if not evident in thelabel name of the product.12.
