Scope1.1 This specification covers the evaluation of specificperformance characteristics of importance in seamless knitga

Significance and Use4.1 Upon mutual agreement between the purchaser and thesupplier, seamless knit garments intended for this end useshould meet all of the requirements listed in Table 1 of thisspecification.4.2 I

18、t is recognized that, for purposes of fashion or aesthet-ics, the ultimate consumer of articles made from these fabricsmay find acceptable products that do not conform to all of therequirements listed in Table 1. Therefore, one or more of therequirements in Table 1 may be modified by mutual agreemen

19、tbetween the purchaser and the supplier.4.2.1 In such cases, any references to the specificationsshould specify that: “This product meets ASTM specificationsXXXX except for the following characteristic(s).”4.3 Where no pre-purchase agreement has been reachedbetween the purchaser and supplier, and in

20、 case of controversy,the requirements listed in Table 1 are intended to be used as aguide only.As noted in 4.2, ultimate consumer demands dictatevarying performance parameters for a particular product.4.4 The uses and significance of particular properties andtest methods are discussed in the appropr

21、iate sections of thespecified test methods.5. Sampling5.1 Acceptance Testing LotUnless agreed otherwise, con-sider as a lot for acceptance testing all material of a single itemas a single shipment.5.2 Lot Samples and Laboratory SamplesFor acceptancetesting, take lot samples and laboratory samples as

22、 directed byeach of the applicable test methods.5.3 SpecimensTake the number of specimens directed ineach of the applicable test methods. Perform the tests on theproduct as it reaches the consumer. Any “partially finished” or“post-finish” fabrics should be processed in accordance withthe fabric manu

23、facturers instructions.5.3.1 If the applicable test method does not specify thenumber of specimens, use the procedures in Practice D 2905 todetermine the number of specimens per laboratory sample unit.5.3.2 Use a reliable estimate of the variability of individualobservations on similar materials in

24、the users laboratory, a95% probability level, and an allowable difference of 5% ofunits and the average for the laboratory sampling unit.6. 30、s to DrycleaningFor drycleanable fab-rics, determine the colorfastness to laundering as directed inAATCC Test Method 132 or as otherwise agreed upon betweenpurchaser and the supplier.7.4 Colorfastness to CrockingDetermine the colorfast-ness to crocking as directed in AATCC Test Method 8 forshades an

31、d AATCC Test Method 116 for prints or as otherwiseagreed upon between purchaser and the supplier.7.5 Colorfastness to LightDetermine the colorfastness tolight as directed in AATCC Test Method 16, Option 3.NOTE 4There are distinct differences in spectral distribution betweenthe various types of machi

32、nes listed in AATCC Test Method 16, with nooverall correlations between them. Consequently, these machines cannotbe used interchangeably.
