Materials and Manufacture4.1 The membrane shall be formulated from the principlepolymers and related formul
16、a ingredients.4.2 The product, as manufactured, shall be in liquid form forapplication by brush, roller, or spray equipment.4.3 Freshly applied material shall be capable of beingbonded to cured material for making watertight field repairs.Supplier shall recommend suitable methods for surface prepa-r
17、ation necessary to achieve adhesion.5. Physical Properties5.1 The liquid coating shall comply with the physicalproperty requirements in Table 1.5.2 The cured film shall comply with the physical propertyrequirements in Table 2.6. Specimen Preparation6.1 Films are prepared by draw-down bar, on silicon
18、izedrelease board, at a wet film thickness (WFT) necessary to yielda dry film thickness (DFT) of 0.8 mm (0.032 in./32 mil). Thefilm is allowed to cure at 23 6 2C (73.4 6 3.6F) and 50 65 % relative humidity for 24 6 2 h. This is followed by 24 hat 60 6 2C (140 6 3.6F) oven curing and minimum 2 hcooli
19、ng.6.1.1 The thickness tolerance for sample preparation shallbe +15 %, -10 % of that shown in 6.1.6.1.2 Samples shall be prepared equal to the width of a 12.5cm (5 in.) draw-down bar by 30.5 cm (12 in.) in length. Curedfilms should be inspected for imperfections (for example,pinholes) and any such a
20、reas rejected. If necessary, recast thefilms. Trim 1.75 cm (0.69 in.) off each edge of the cured film.Test work is carried out on the remaining 9 by 27 cm (3.54 by10.63 in.) cured film.7. Rejection and Resubmittal10.1 Failure to conform to any one of the requirementsprescribed in this specification shall constitute grounds forrejection. Rejection shall be reported to the supplier
40、promptlyand in writing. The seller shall have the right to reinspect therejected shipment and resubmit the lot after removal of thosepackages not conforming to the specified requirements.
