1、Designation: D 7532 09Standard Practice forDetermination of Re-tack Ability of Carpet Adhesives1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 7532; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision.
2、A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice will provide a protocol for determining theeffect of extended drying (open time) periods on the shear andpeel strength

Summary of Practice4.1 This practice is for a comparison of shear strength and90 degree peel strength performance between a standard duckcloth material versus a specific carpet backing. It should be noted that the use of duck cloth isnecessary since there is no bench mark or standardized carpetbacking currently produced in the United States.5.
