3、andinstrumentation (both analog and computerized systems) ac-tively used in the psychophysiological detection of deception(verification of truth). As a minimum, such instrumentationshall simultaneously record an individuals respiratory, exoso-matic electrodermal, and cardiovascular activity.1.2 Anal

4、og polygraphs shall be calibrated by the psycho-physiological detection of deception (PDD) examiner,manufacturer, or factory-authorized individual.1.3 Computerized instrumentation shall be calibrated by themanufacturer or factory-authorized individual.1.4 The PDD examiner or factory-authorized indiv

5、idualshall perform functionality checks to ensure instrumentation isoperating properly.1.5 This practice does not prohibit additional componentswhich may be offered as supplemental measurements ofphysiological change. Additional recording components (suchas movement sensors) may be used in addition

6、to, but notreplace, the required minimum components and these addi-tional components shall meet the manufacturers specificationsfor calibration.1.6 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with internationally recognized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on P

10、de E2000.5. Minimum Requirements for Calibration andFunctionality Checks of Polygraph Instrumentation5.1 A recorded chart shall be created demonstrating correctfunctioning of the instrument. This chart will be maintained fora minimum period of one year.5.1.1 This chart shall contain the following in

Calibration Check (Analog Instruments)6.1 Calibration or functionality checks shall be conducted inaccordance with the manufacturers specifications.6.2 At any time a malfunction is identified, the instrumentshall not be used to conduc

17、t a PDD examination until thatmalfunction has been corrected as demonstrated by an addi-tional calibration or functionality check.6.3 A record in the form of a calibration or functionalitychart shall be kept identifying the time and date, instrumentidentification, and who conducted the calibration o

18、r function-ality check.6.3.1 This record shall be maintained for a minimum of oneyear.7. Calibration or Functionality Check for ComputerInstruments7.1 Functionality or calibration checks shall be conducted inaccordance with the manufacturers specifications.7.2 At any time a malfunction is identified

19、, the instrumentshall not be used to conduct a PDD examination until thatmalfunction has been corrected as demonstrated by a calibra-tion or functionality check.7.3 A record in the form of a calibration or functionalitychart in printed or digital format shall be kept identifying thedate, instrument

20、identification, and by whom the calibration orfunctionality check was conducted.7.3.1 This record shall be maintained for a minimum of oneyear.8.
