Ordering Information3.1 Ordering for doors under this specification shall includethe following:3.1.1 Type of door and material (see Tabl
8、e 1 and Figs. 1-3),3.1.2 Nominal and ASTM designations,3.1.3 Quantity, hand of door (right hand or left hand, orboth), and3.1.4 Optional items, such as fixed lights, door locks, to beindicated.3.2 Inspection and acceptance of doors shall be agreed uponbetween the purchaser and the supplier.4. Materi
9、als and Manufacture4.1 The materials and specifications shall be as given inTable 1.4.2 Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) material of doors shallmeet the requirements of MIL-P-17549, Grade 1. In addition,laminate must have the flammability limits equal to therequirements for Grade 2, Class A of MIL-R-2

Construction, Shape, and Dimensions5.1 The construction, shape, and clear opening dimensionsshall be as shown in Tables 1 and 2 and Figs. 1-3 and conformto the following requirements:5.1.1 A right-hand opening door shall be construed as onethat opens towards you with hinges located on right
11、side ofdoor. A left-hand opening is similar but with hinges on the left.5.1.2 The size of the door opening and shape shall be asgiven in Table 2.5.1.3 Figs. 1 and 2 show the right-hand opening, and in thecase of left-hand opening, the arrangement of fittings shall bereversed.5.1.4 The position of th

18、organic zinc-rich primer SSPC Paint 20 Type I-C at 1.5 to 3.0mil (MDFT), both sides before assembly, following surfacepreparation in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.6.2.2 Aluminum doors and components are to be pretreatedwith wash primer coating followed with lead-free, chromate-free,

Product Marking7.1 Each door shall be marked with t
22、he purchase ordernumber by attaching a CRES label plate to the door panel usingletters at least12 in. (12.7 mm) high, indicating the ASTMdesignation number, nominal number, thickness of door plate,and direction of opening. Other markings may be in paint.7.2 Label plates shall be screwed or bolted to
23、 the door panelon steel and aluminum doors.7.3 GRP door label plates shall be affixed to the door withepoxy.8. Packaging and Package Marking8.1 Doors shall be crated or attached to a pallet in a manneracceptable for shipment by a common carrier. The door anddoor frame assembly shall be shipped as on

26、-C-81706, followed with asecond coat of epoxy polyamide primer (Formula 150 ofMIL-P-24441) alkyd haze gray (TT-E-490 or equal).
