The breaking strength valueshall be determined by having the twisted strand tested as acomposite.15.3 Instead of testing wire for its coating and breakingstrength from the completed barbed wire in
45、accordance with15.2, the manufacturer may elect to establish compliance withSections 11-14 by tests made on wire prior to fabrication. If themanufacturer makes this election, the purchaser still reservesthe right to test wire from the completed barbed wire forcompliance.15.4 For the purpose of inspe

47、a weight per spool related to the wire size ormeasuring tools used during manufacturing. The purchaser stillreserves the right to confirm the length by actual measurement.15.6 Inspection for barb spacing is normally performed onthe outer 25-ft (7.6-m) length of a spool; this permits repack-aging of
48、the spool. Any other selection shall be as agreed uponbetween the manufacturer and the purchaser.16. Retests and Rejection16.1 Should one or more of the individual wire specimensfail the coating tests or a strand specimen fail the breakingstrength test, the lot shall be subjected to retest. Four add
