Scope1.1 This practice covers minimum requirements for a qual-ity assurance program for weight-shift-con
3、trol aircraft.1.2 This practice applies to weight-shift-control aircraftseeking civil aviation authority approval, in the form of flightcertificates, flight permits, or other like documentation.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use.

Significance and Use2.1 The purpose of this practice is to provide the minimumrequirements necessary for the establish
5、ment of a writtenquality assurance program for a light sport aircraft manufac-turer, or component supplier.2.2 If final assembly is completed outside of the mainproduction facility, the manufacturer shall specify the requiredprocedures and what persons are authorized to perform them.3. Materials and
6、 Manufacture3.1 Drawing Control ProcedureA written procedure shallbe in effect so that appropriate manufacturing drawings, theirmanufacturing revisions, and related documents are utilized foreach project.3.2 Component Control Procedure:3.2.1 A written procedure shall be in effect so that materials,p
7、rocesses, and components, including raw materials, are inaccordance with the manufacturing specifications.3.2.2 This procedure shall provide the purchasing agentwith all of the information required to order appropriatematerial.3.2.3 A written receiving procedure shall be in effect so thatincoming ma
8、terial and components are checked against thepurchasing specifications.3.2.4 A written procedure shall be in effect so that materialin stock can be properly identified for future use.3.2.5 Documentation on any material, process, or compo-nents certified shall be filed for reference.4. Inspection4.1
9、A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on manufactured parts and subassembliesfor conformance with engineering specifications.4.2 A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on purchased components.4.3 A written procedure sha
10、ll be in effect so that completedunits are inspected prior to delivery.4.4 Nonconforming components shall be identified andevaluated for disposition as follows:4.4.1 A component not suitable for use shall be altered ordisposed of to avoid accidental use.4.4.2 Reworked components shall be re-inspecte
11、d in accor-dance with 4.1, 4.2,or4.3 of this practice prior to use.4.4.3 In some cases, a component may be determined to beacceptable as is or as modified after further evaluation. In suchcases, appropriate review, acceptance, and documentation shallbe a requirement.4.5 AuditsA written procedure sha
12、ll be in effect to per-form audits of the quality assurance program at least onceevery two years.5.
