Scope1.1 This practice establishes criteria for the design, manu-facture, and operations of bumper boats. These are boats usedto bump into each other intent
3、ionally as directed by drivers asa form of entertainment. Boats are fitted with an inflatable orimpact attenuating device to allow for such bumping.1.2 This practice follows Practices F 1193 and F 770 as thebasic level of safety for bumper boats. These practices shall befollowed for all bumper boats

This practiceshall include all modifications, improvements, and deviationsto design, quality, manufacture, construction, ownership, op-eration, inspection, and maintenance of a bumper boat1.3 This practice does not apply to personal watercraft,human powered watercraft, or water

Significance and
8、Use3.1 The purpose of this practice is to delineate informationand to establish procedures for the operation of a bumper boatamusement ride.3.2 The device is a single craft, unattached to other craft orcommon frame system. It is non-human powered withoutconnection to a common energy source. It is dr
9、iver controlledwith respect to acceleration, speed, and steering.4. Design Requirements4.1 Throttle/power controls shall return automatically tostop or slow speed when released.4.2 All battery powered units will provide adequate venti-lation to battery compartment.4.3 Any moving drive component (tha
10、t is, propellers, im-pellers) must be guarded on all sides, whenever ride is inoperation. Openings of the guard shall be no larger in diameteror width than 0.625 in. (15.87 mm).4.4 Throttle/power controls shall be located in such amanner as to prevent accidental activation during loading orunloading
11、 of boat.5. Quality, Manufacture, and Construction Requirements5.1 Quality, manufacture, and construction shall be in ac-cordance with in Practices F 1193 and F 1159.6. Ownership and Operation Requirements6.1 Ownership and operation requirements for this practiceare outlined in Practice F 770. The i
