It is identical with ISO9243:1988 “Pliers and nippers Carpenters pincers Dimensions and test values”, published by th
7、e International Organization for Standardization (ISO). As work continues in ISO the number of tools covered by this standard will increase. BS3087-10 covers those tools in BS3087:1959 (withdrawn) that were not standardized by ISO because their style and application were exclusive to the UK. The Tec
8、hnical Committee has reviewed the provisions of ISO5744, to which reference is made in the text, and has decided that they are acceptable for use in conjunction with this standard. A related British Standard to ISO5744:1988 is BS3087-4:1988. It is recommended that pliers, pincers and nippers should
9、be legibly and indelibly marked with a name, trademark or the manufacturing code that will allow traceability. BS3087-13 1)should be marked either on the tool or on its associated packaging. 14、es in order to verify their aptitude to function in conformity with ISO5744. It also specifies the minimum hardness of the cutting edge. The general technical requirements are given in ISO5743. The carpenters pincers illustrated in this International Standard are examples only and are not intended t
